Some memories started coming back to me after I read Hinano (that's Tsundere to you MALers) post (about the old fansites and shrines that populated the internet 10 years or so ago. Well, I came across some (by the standard of internet age) ancient emails I had stored in a forgotten folder. They date to 1999 and are from the old Fushigi Yuugi Mailing List! Here's an excerpt from one, to bring back memories of a vanished age! I don't think ML messages are really "private" so I assume it's OK to quote this nine years later, lol  OH, AND I DID NOT WRITE ANY OF THIS:

Heee~e... it's always nice to see people making
more and more Shrines. I remember when my
Chichiri Shrine was next to the only one next to
Chichiri no Miko's (wherever she might be now...
;.; Memphis crazies, come back to us!! I need
another pair of people to scare me outta my wits
other than Kristi and Priya o.o;) and that was a
LONG time ago.

I think the best advice that I can give regarding
information for sites is make sure that the
information you have is correct. Specifically for
Chichiri, there are lotsa profiles for him... and
it really REALLY REALLY (get the point?) irks me
whenever I see that information wrong. Especially
regarding his past, I've read up on it in both
the manga and then novels so I know what I'm
reading is correct... but I've noticed that sites
that maybe hear things or read things second hand
from another site without reading either the
manga or novel (or translations of them) that
have gotten information wrong.

The next best advice I can give you besides
having your information be correct is have your
presentation of information be ORIGINAL. Present
it in an original format. Shrines that all look
like each other get really boring and =P
Personal touches are always good. As long as you
don't steal word for word (i.e. cut/paste or
something close) you should be okay. There's a
million different ways to give a profile on
Chichiri (or Tasuki ^v^) without it sounding like
everyone else's site. Just be creative. ^^

Oh, and look at this shrine I found in a link in one of the old messages!

I have found that I can get a lot of entertainment value out of dangos.  They have served me well at my blog, daijoubu.animeblogger.net.  And yet, I fear I will be typecast as a dango-fetish blooger.  What shall I do?
