Been a year since I made that first post and I did it mostly as a joke but it was nice to do and to go back and read. I had to edit out some really bad shit from that post like slurs and vulgar shit but its cool it still reads like im a fuckon idiot so the essence remains.

I suppose an update is due for myself and anyone unfortunate enough to read this as to how I have progressed with my relationship to anime:

I got my motherfucking swagger back B)

Im 22 now which is scary because soon ill be 23 which is a real adult age but somehow Ive gotten less anxious about indulging in anime despite being older and closer to death. this is mostly due to the toxic fumes ive been inhaling at work.

All that is to say that ive found a joy in watching anime and reading manga that I really missed. I missed being a part of the anime community at large. I missed watching shows with my best friends and discussing them whenever we got together. I missed the feeling of being happy.

I attended my first convention this past year and met someone who changed my perspective on being a 22 year old guy who watches chinese cartoons from one of shame and dejection to fully embracing the happiness I have found.

Idk what ive watched because I cannot be fucked to catalogue all that shit and ive been busy fuckin with kanye. we have had a recent disagreement and thats all I can say 4 now. Ill give a quick recap of whatever comes to mind:

chainsaw man: chainsaw MID? FLOPsaw man? REDDITsaw man? REDDITFLOP MID? made by studio CRAPPA? tbh I had high expectations but this didnt live up to them. I read teh manga a million years ago and was hype like ecvery other dumbass but that CGI was pretty fuckin egregious at times and really pulled me out of it. Kobeni annoyed the fuck out of me and everyone posting kobeni also annoyed the fuck out of me. Mabye I should work on myself so that I dont get mad at mental manifestations of people who enjoy things I dont.

akebi no serafuku chan: loved this shit. The art style is strangely cute and i love the characters. this kind of nothing really happening just enjoy the ride, pastoral warm glow happiness friendship shit hits me right where i need it to.

wonder egg priority: lmfao, this was shaping up to be an all time great and rival madoka for the magical girl dark twist numbah one spotto but it shit the bed, rolled around in it, got up, and told everyone "Daijoubu, daijoubu, I'll clean it" and then knelt down and took another, even bigger shit on the bed.

higurashi soutsugou: although I havent seen the original I am glad I watched this not because it was good at all but because I watched it with my dear friends. as absurd as it is im glad this trainwreck exists because it is now an integral part of me and the ridiculous nature of it feels more apt as a personal touchstone than some dumb shit like nardo or one piece

one piece: yeah im like 48 episodes in and its pretty good

bluelock: fartlock

GAMERS: good 1st half but really drags itself afterwards and that hurts even more knowing that nothing will come of it at the end (no love confession scene where the MC sprints in a storm to his crush's domicile to loudly yell his true feelings for her after a mistaken near miss [you know what im talking about] also no bareback fucking)

ssss.dynazenon: cant remember a fucking thing about this because I marathoned it in a day but I thought the robot was cool alright nice thumbs up

theres more but idc. I want to make a list of shows for next season that look promising and hold myself to watching them weekly. I really like doing that. I will continue to cultivate my weebness with the confidence and reassurance afforded to me by my friends (very anime, huh?)
