Anime Relations: Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen
This is blog is for something a review later. Thoughts come and go, and this recent thought seems like a really nice point for a review later. I'm just here hoping I don't forget.

So you know those anime characters who are the dedicated motivated character? Probably male, tall, fairly muscular compared to the rest of the cast, fiery hair and can't shut up about how he's the most motivated guy in the room? I've only realized how sick i was of these characters until I've seen the most beautiful boy Lutz in Honzuki no Gekokujou/Ascendance of a Bookworm.

Episode 10. Boy, this little lad almost made me cry. He's my favorite character of the series, and he is the most fleshed out character of them all. Any piece of dialogue you throw at him, he'll process and remember. Hell, he might even be that kind of character who would spot a plot hole if he was in one of those horrible comedy series without any consistency.

His most defining character trait is his love for Main/Maine/Myne. Not aesthetically or romantically or any of those adult stuff. He cares, and recently it feels like making characters care for each other is starting to become more and more rare. Yeah, some characters know what the stakes are if they don't do a certain something. Lutz on the other hand knows that he's not capable of doing anything, but he still does it. It's such a human thing to do, and you can't do anything but to root for him to be happier.

4 more episodes left on the series and I can't wait to see how it's going to turn out for the cast. Go watch the series. It's an isekai with character.
