Anime Relations: Haibane Renmei, Tsumiki no Ie, Majokko Shimai no Yoyo to Nene, Brave Witches, Brave Witches: Petersburg Daisenryaku, Non Non Biyori Movie: Vacation, Asobi Asobase OVA, Asobi Asobase Specials
I decided to go ahead and split it at the end of March. I finished Strike Witches at about the right time, but Brave Witches took me a bit over the split. Because of that and the fact that it was a spin-off, I am putting it on this post. Overall, the Strike Witches series took me way longer than it should have, but I wanted to get it in before the new season/spin-off.

My opinion of Brave Witches was about the same as the original series. I don't really understand the lower score, though. I kind of liked the ED. I also lacked an opinion on the special as it was simply like an extra episode.

Although it is not an anime, I read Haruki Murakami's A Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World. I bought it as my library didn't have a copy. It was one of his that I had been eyeing because the plot sounded good. However, I ultimately decided to buy after hearing that the End of the World part helped inspire Haibane Renmei. After reading it, it was obvious that it did inspire the anime. The plot was different, but there were many similarities in the setting. It was very enjoyable to see what led to the creation of one of my favorite anime. I also realized after reading a post on Flip Flappers and the Thommason, that Haruki must have been familiar with Hyperart: Thommason, or the original, un-compiled version. A hole is straight-up referred to as "pure" at one point. In my favorite of his works, The Wind-up Bird Chronicle, the well as well as the alley could be seen as a Thommason. I would love to read Hyperart: Thommason since its ideas inspired another one of my favorite anime and one of my favorite books, but it's about seventy-five dollars used.

I had a little time, so I decided to watch Tsumiki no Ie as it was short and had been sitting on my list for a while. I don't know why, but the suggested anime on the home page started to give different anime instead of same ten popular anime. Many of the shows listed have sounded really interesting, so I have about twenty or more series on my Plan to Watch list. I am glad they fixed the suggested anime as I have came across many good-sounding series that I had never seen before. Anyhow, the anime itself was nice and had a unique art style.

Finally, after being uploaded a few months ago, I watched the Asobi Asobase OVA and special. I don't really have too much of an opinion on them. However, I loved the Evagelion and that Cartoon Network imaginary friends house show reference.

Since I finished the Strike Witches series after a whole month or more, I decided to watch some movies and shorter anime like I did after Kara no Kyoukai and Non Non Biyori. Majokko Shimai no Yoyo to Nene was one of those. I don't think I ran across it in the suggested anime on the home page, so I think I may have found it while looking at the studio's list. It was aimed more towards children, so there was nothing too surprising or crazy, but it was still enjoyable. I liked the magical world as it sort of reminded me of the Mahou Yuugi world.

Finally, it apears that the Non Non Biyori Movie: Vaction was subbed. It had aired three or so momths before I watched the series, but it wasn't subbed. I have no clue when it was subbed though. Typically, when a new anime is uploaded, it appears in a list on the home page. However, it didn't appear because the movie was alreday listed; there just wasn't a video to go with it. I will have to keep that in mind in the future. Anyhow, I don't have mush to say on the movie. My opinion of it and the series are the same.
