Thought I'd write down my personal rating system somewhere. My system is based on enjoyment/intrigue, so it very much falls in line with MAL's own rating system :) Nice to have a reference for myself though!

10 十 - (Masterpiece) Absolute gem. Perfect the way it is, had my eyes glued to the screen the entire time. Really made me feel something.
9 九 - (Great) Wonderful! Only minor things that I would change, but it captivated me nonetheless. Some of my all-time favorites, usually worthy of re-watches.
8 八 - (Very Good) Awesome! I had a great time watching, and thoroughly enjoyed this anime. Would definitely recommend.
7 七 - (Good) Pretty good. Could have been a lot better, but I had a good time watching this one. Many anime fall under this category.
6 六 - (Fine) Okay. Not really my thing. The anime might have lots of potential. It's not as bad as it could have been though. Maybe a little disappointing.
5 五 - (Average) Just really generic, didn't stand out to me in any particular way. Not bad, just un-enjoyable. Couldn't keep my attention.
4 四 - (Bad) Any anime that falls below this line, I was most likely challenged to watch. Usually so stupid it's funny, but I can't guarantee anything.
3 三 - (Very Bad) Big oof. Is there a sliver of a good idea present? Who knows. Could have spent my time so much better.
2 二 - (Horrible) Somehow even worse than 3?? I've given up on caring about my mean score.
1 一 - (Appalling) I've somehow acquired a passionate dislike/hate for the unfortunate anime rated with 1. Do I even want to be associated with it? Idk
