Summer Seasonal (2018)
Anime Relations:
FLCL Progressive, Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro, Angolmois: Genkou Kassenki, Satsuriku no Tenshi, Jashin-chan Dropkick, Hataraku Saibou, Asobi Asobase, Happy Sugar Life, Sirius, Aguu: Tensai Ningyou
This is mainly for myself, so I don't know how interesting it will be.
I watched FLCL about a week before FLCL Progressive aired. I feel that many people are criticizing it not for what it is, but for what it could have been. My personal critism is that it stressed the adolescent theme of the first season too much. In the first season, it was sort of the meaning in the madness, but I still liked it and looked forward to its next episode every week.
Chio's School Road was my favorite of the season. I loved the comedy.
I don't really have anything to say about Satsuriku no Tenshi. I will watch the ONA and finish the series.
Hataraku Saibou was pretty cute. I was unsure on whether or not to watch it, but I enjoyed it. Those platelet lolis were precious.
Asobi Asobase was watched with the belief it was going to be a moe show, but it obviously wasn't. At first, I didn't care for the comedy. However, I kept watching and it grew on me.
Happy Sugar Life had some scenes that I found quite disturbing, though others may not have felt the same.
Tenrou: Sirius the Jaeger was another show I enjoyed. I typically don't watch shows like it, but I gave it a chance and liked it. However, it was a pain to watch. For the first half of the show, episodes would be subbed a few days to a week after airing. Finally, it began to be consistently subbed and released, but the final episode was still nearly a week off.
Some shows I dropped were Jashin-chan Dropkick, Aguu Tensai Ningyou, and Angolmois: Genkou Kassenki. I didn't really care for them.
