Welcome back. Last time we went back in time just to fix a plothole and then came back. Now we must face a normal girl.

Hair
Ayumu has dark grey hair. That is only in the manga and older anime, since newer anime goes with dark blue for some bizarre reason. I blame Manglobe being terrible. Either color looks good though overall matters not. That aside Ayumu has twintails, albeit short ones. They look cute but prove her hair isn’t very long, and indeed when down barely reaches her shoulders sadly. Still decent but honestly could score better.
Score: 7.5
Eyes
Ayumu has green eyes. Sadly seems this month I got stuck with lame eye colors. Luckily sometimes the anime makes them darker for more appeal, but monkeys wearing silk are still monkeys and that changes nothing. The slight tsurime looks good though.

Ayumu is complicated here. She has height and weight luckily, and at 162cm and 47kg neither stands out. The main problem is her bust size, not because it’s big but because it’s incredibly inconsistent and confusing. Basically each pic gives her a different bust size, and I can’t even blame J-Cup Staff and ManGLOBE because the manga does this too. Then again Hata became quite the mamocentric buffoon over time. Whining aside this makes Ayumu hard to score since I don’t know where she stands here. Think the Worst Manga Chapter Ever Made did not include her among the dairy cows which combined with being often drawn flat is an overall positive, but that makes the occasional cow pics even more annoying. She does have a nice body otherwise, but the whole chest debacle unfortunately muddles this. She could also use thicker legs sadly. Also her blood type is A case that matters.

Butt
Ayumu does well here. She has several ass pics and some nice moments. Could be better but also much worse. She also farts during the first anime, but sadly blames a man for that. Still canon farting girls are rare and welcome.

Ayumu has some decent variety. She defaults to her school uniform; not bad since is the blazer type, but otherwise nothing special. Thankfully her various cosplays among the series and official art end bolstering this score. Too bad she lacks a most defining costume like Hinagiku cosplaying as Utena or like Nagi with the sukumizu, but still performs fairly solid.

Personality
Ayumu was cute. She was Hayate’s former classmate before the story began and harbored feelings for him during years. However he then disappeared because Nagi saved him and they did not meet again until he briefly visited his old school. Long short story Ayumu ended challenging main heroine Nagi for Hayate’s love and lost because Nagi got a dragon spirit and Ayumu got stuck randomly with having a hamster spirit. She was then nicknamed Hamster from fans and characters alike. She did become friends with Nagi over time though, and with Hinagiku the other main heroine like the one that keeps attacking blog authors. She also moves in the inn Nagi gets later. And sadly that’s pretty much everything since for 90% the series she never does anything relevant, though the giant massive filler might explain that. She does help when all massively goes down in the finale by bringing Hayate back but that’s pretty much it really sadly.
Now for personality. Ayumu really shines here actually, being really cute and charming. She was designed to be a normal girl among the rich ones, but unlike a certain angry undeserved winner actually does the normal shtick pretty well. She works hard but is fairly middling at studies and math is her worst subject, but likes world story apparently. She has a normal family with mom and dad and the younger brother who likes Nagi but the brother goes to clean his skies one day and disappears from the manga. She’s also rather gluttonous, especially in the first anime that gives her always one tiny scene with her eating every episode. While this is more libido she loves Hayate very much and confesses first, but sadly is rejected by love for mecha or 2D girls depending the version. This may not sound impressive, but overall Ayumu was always cute whenever present and was my second favorite girl for a good reason.

Ayumu has trouble. The manga introduces her literally right after Hinagiku and originally treats her like a main heroine just like Nagi/Maria/Hinagiku with fair screentime and focus. However after the manga did its second popularity poll and proved Ayumu wasn’t particularly popular Hata decided to really hate her in a rather cruel passive-aggressive sorta way; basically her focus diminishing into nothing consistently, making sure she never got any shipping scenes while Hinagiku got roughly a million ones, and making her get rejected twice for no good reason. The anime did not help much because the first one didn’t bother introducing her until 1/4 the way yet introduction neighbor Hinagiku was pushed to the start, the second one skipped one of her focus episodes basically stopping everything and saying they weren’t doing that chapter because screw Ayumu fans apparently, and while the third and to a lesser extent the fourth and the movie were fairer that was still too little and too late really. Finally like said fans don’t like her that much, because this franchise has one of the worst fanbases and anyone but Hinagiku and Athena only gets hate or outright ignoring from the lame and awful fans. And for a bonus the Taiwan live action show merged her with Hinagiku for some reason. Frankly the final score might be too generous.

Ayumu loves kindly. From the entire harem she might be the most devoted one and the one that cares the most for Hayate quite easily. The series also proved they would make a great couple because that much is obvious though. She also has yuri with Hinagiku for some reason. She could use a little femdom maybe, but otherwise she’s just great.

Ayumu is good here. Simply put she’s aged 16 and becomes 17 during the plot, though her birthday episode was cruel and unfunny. Her birthday is the 15th of May thus late happy birthday.

Mikako Takahashi sounds really cute. Shame the series has a lot of really cute VAs that I like better and thus she stands out less.
