Welcome to my first thoughts on Winter 2017 anime. I will be sharing my views on the first episodes.
*WARNING! PERSONAL THOUGHTS INCOMING. PLEASE, DON'T CARE ABOUT THEM TOO MUCH*

Akiba's Trip The Animation - I think that this might turn out to be either a small, entertaining show, or my least favourite show of all time. Fanservice feels incredibly forced, the humor made me facepalm more than once, especially at the body part super heroes moment, I wholeheartedly hate every character, except the main heroine in the red, she's fine, but I found her slightly annoying. The stupidity didn't work for me like in other shows before it, Keijo for example. Maybe my low expectations can save it. I might have scored it this low, because I wasn't expecting to watch something like this after a really fun Fall season. 3/10 after the first episode.

Masamune-kun no Revenge - For a harem romance anime, feels surprisingly fresh. The reason for that is that every girl in the school wants the MC's body, which is justified by him working out, unlike in other romance anime where every girl hides their feelings from a plain guy. All that is a bit ruined by the tsundere main love interest, who will clearly be picked in the end. With that being siad, the humor and the premise are enough to keep me going with hopes of a lesser Toradora. 7/10 after first episode.

Schoolgirl Strikers: Animation Channel - Weirdly satisfying for such a meh show. The voice cast is great, but somehow, Kana Hanezawa's voice isn't cute, she sounds annoying. The idea is pretty cool. The school fragments were a bit underwhelming, they didn't work for me at all. On the other hand, the action scenes were cool and interesting. Judging by the opening, this may turn into something darker. I'm not keeping my hopes up, but I think it can be a good time. 5/10 after first episode.

Youjo Senki - I found it incredibly dumb. Nobody except the MC can dodge, soldiers are insubordinate towards their superiors too often during a war, one of the mage leaders ordered an attack that took a lot of magic from his soldiers, just to TRY and kill a few scouts. With all that being said, I don't think it was a bad first episode. Interesting set up with an interesting MC. I just hope this won't be another Izetta, where the tactics of the war aspect will be glossed over. This is war, not just some plain battle. 4/10 after first episode.

Minami Kamakura Koukou Joshi Jitensha-bu - A moe anime about bikes, where have I seen this before..... What can I say? It's a plain SOL with cute girls, but because J.C Staff is a part of the project, the backgrounds look gorgeous. I laughed here and there, but I was also annoyed by the fact that MC doesn't even know that she has to pedal in order to ride a bike. I have to mention the incredibly cute real life segments in the end, they melt my heart. 6/10 after the first episode.

Seiren - Welcome back Amagami SS, glad to have you back. It's going to be a bunch of plain, generic love stories, but I don't find that to be a bad thing, I miss those types of stories actually, especially after all the ridiculous ideas being thrown at me every time I watch an anime with a romance element. It was calming, funny, cheerful, felt realisitic. One problem I had was that it was hard to remeber all the names. Oh, and let's not forget, one of the characters is that brat, Ai Nanasaki's brother from Amagami. She was the best girl. 8/10 after the first episode.

Urara Meirochou - The loli fanservice was too much for me. I liek the premise of a place for fortune-tellers to grow, but why do you have to show all the underboob of 15 year old girls in the very episode? After that it was cute and really funny at the end. " I want the commander's sickness in me" Yeah.... It really is too sexual for a moe show. 5/10 after the first episode.

Demi-chan wa Kataritai - I have found it. The original AOTS in my predictions. If you discount all the sequels and all the remakes, this is the thing that I'm going to be looking forward to the most. Fantastic idea of learning about demi-humans through interviews, watching them grow together and see how they live in a normal enviroment. It's not a mind blowing anime, but it's good all around. It does feel weird when an old man talks to little girls about erotic implications of neck biting. 8/10 after the first episode.

Tales Of Zestira the X 2nd Season - Pretty poor start, not much happened, but as a Zestiria fan, I'm going to give it all the time in the world. I can only hope that the epic fights will come back, and a certain moment from the game will be presented in a good way. I don't think ufotable can screw that up to be honest. 5/10 After the first episode.

Idol Jihen - Idol girls (Dietwomen. Yes, Dietwomen) fight politicians with music, in order to become presidents and help the enviroment. *Clap Clap* The idea is the perfect ammount of stupid. All the real politicians are treated like villains. The pacing was incredibly fast, the MC seiyuu is pretty annoying, the story is really mediocre, but the humor is great, both intentinally and unintenionally. 4/10 after the first episode.

Gabriel DropOut - Remeber how I said that Demi-chan wa Kataritai is going to be my favourite anime of the season? I'm taking it all back, this is amazing. After graduating from a school in heaven an angel comes to the real world school and becomes a NEET. Such a great idea, but I didn't expect to like it so much. I already cried from laughter, I have enjoyed every second of it, I can easily look past the little fanservice moments it had. Does it have anything to with the fact that I like moe blobs? Maybe. But I'm sure some people are going to find this just as funny as I did. Please don't disappoint me after such a ridiculously funny first episode. 9/10 After the first episode.

Hand Shakers - This...... this is my least favourite first episode up to this point. The only two things I could tolerate were a few camera angles and the sword made out of cogs. I was annoyed or mad at everything else. Horrible use of CGI and fanservice, annoying characters and their introductions, visuals and camera work that made me mad in every scene, dialogues and monologues that made me facepalm more than once, music that didn't play when needed, but when it played it didn't fit at all, a lot of unnecessarily weird camera angles, art style that I personally don't find fitting or good looking at any moment and there was that one shot of the background, where the quality of the art dropped suddenly. I don't like a single thing. I'm going to continue watching though, in hopes that it can redeem itself a bit, I don't want to leave it at this score. Please have some awesome or cool moments, please do something that I can enjoy. I am cheering for this, even if I hated it so far. 2/10 after the first episode.

Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon - Harmless, even with its fanservice. It needs to try harder though, I need to laugh and be happy that I'm watching it. I expect more out of KyoAni, but if it stays like this I won't be too mad, I'll just be disappointed. I'm looking for fun in a SOL cute shows like this, but I got only little. 5/10 after the first episode.

Kuzu no Honkai - This is intriguing to say the least, at first it felt too sexual, but after a bit of time I can understand the feelings of the characters a bit more. Seeing so much sexual tension presented in a serious manner is rare, and I think that doing something this bold should be acknowledged. The comedy can feel out of place at times, it is a pretty dark series after all. Lying to each other and yourself, the feeling of helplessness and confusion, what's right and what isn't are themes that definetely interest me. What helps, is that the characters aren't oversexualized, they're just normal human beings that are in a part of their life where they don't know what to do with themselves. That contrasts nicely with the happy pair of teachers. Hopefully this won't turn out to be just an erotic anime with no substance. I can see this becoming really good, or a trainwreck, but I'm going to stay positive. Easily the most intriguing anime of the season for me so far, and I'll give it a higher score for that. 7/10 after the first episode.

Bang Dream - One episode was enough to tell me that I would most likely enjoy it. The art style is really eye pleasing, the soundtrack is right up my alley, and it's a cute girls show, so of course I'll like it, even if just a tiny bit. The lack of distinctive personalities makes me not want to continue for now. I can defintely see myself watching all of it one day though. Just not now. By the way, their eyes are creepy. It looks like they are demons on close ups. 6/10 after the first episode, put On-Hold. I have too much shows to watch anyway.
