Hajime no Ippo
Not meant to be serious, it's just something I wrote for fun. And it has no relation to Hajime no Ippo.
And also, I wrote this back when I was in college so hopefully my writing is better now than it was then. :D
Far on the eastern continent in the world of Barzen lies a small village by the name of Bonyo. North of Bonyo Village is where the Forest of Wells is situated, which is also home to a pack of goblins. This is the reason why the villagers never visit the forest and its wells anymore. As the wells have not been used by many in years, only three are able to be used in present day. One of money, the reason goblins have brought themselves to this forest, however they're still searching for their dream well. One of water, in which the village are in dire need of. And finally, one containing a young, lonely girl.
However, these wells each have problems of their own. The money well is beginning to worry about the goblins, always saying "If I keep collecting money, I'll overflow causing the goblins to come and steal the coins! Oh dear, what should I do?"
The water well is also worrying but for the villagers, crying out "If I keep collecting water, I'll overflow and end up flooding that beautiful village! Oh no, what should I do?"
The well of the young, lonely girl starts to get fed up of hearing this constant panic and after so long of thinking of a plan, finally devises one. "I have but one lonely, poor and thirsty girl abandoned inside me. I hear her cry almost every day. Please fellow wells, won't you help her? Think about it, she could solve both your problems, profiting herself at the same time."
The other wells murmured and grunted, discussing and thinking it over. They finally came upon a decision, agreeing to help her if she would make their problems disappear. The third well spoke to the girl, explaining what they had decided and that she should return to the village. Slowly, a hand appeared over the edge of the well, followed by a head, torso and finally the legs. She made an 'oof' sound as she rolled off the stones of the well and her small figure hit the ground. Standing up, her bones seemed to show very clearly through her rags, you could tell she'd had lack of food.
After brushing the soil off her already dirty dress and pulling the few twigs out of her knotted hair, she made her way over to the water well. She untangled the rope attached to the bucket, dropping it until it reached the high level of water then pulled it back up, panting heavily from the weight. She cupped her hands, scooping up the water in them and gulped it down her. In the blink of an eye, life returned to her face, the dirt and scratches fading into smooth, pure skin. Her bones disappeared into an acceptable amount of flesh and her hair flowed like a waterfall down her back.
Next she stood before the money well, spreading it over the coins and gripping them into a balled fist, a few coins dropping out onto the ground. Before she knew it, the coins had vanished and a frilly blue dress replaced her old rags. She twirled slightly to check out her new clothes, a smile making its way onto her face.
As thanks for saving her life, she repaid the wells greatly by taking water and money away to the villagers everyday until the day she died.
