Browsing through my list of animes, which include series watched in the 1980's, when they were scheduled on French channel within TV-shows aimed at 6-10 years old kids, I realize that more than 90% of them are, at the very least, PG rated in the US. The only ones left without a rating must not have been processed by the evaluation process, because I doubt very much that something like Harlock Saga or Harukanaru Toki no Naka de ~Ajisai Yumegatari~ would have received anything less strict than PG. Even such innocent stories as Lady Georgie or Ace no Nerae are rated PG and Attack No 1 or Attacker You, are rated PG-13!! Out of 24 animes I saw before 1989 (when I turned 13), I was exposed to 10 PG-13 rated series!! And a few PG and R+ rated series! This means that with regards to US standards, my parents could be considered as totally irresponsible people who let their children spend hours in front of TV content inappropriate for them. I'm very surprised to see that Ghibli movies are often reviewed as necessitating Parental Guidance except Ponyo and My Neighbor Totoro!

So, I guess, according to the MPA, I must be absolutely corrupted!
