List of Anime of which DVD sales were unmeasurably small. (< 800 copies per volume)

Oh, sorry. No offense in the previous comment. Just I felt sentimental by looking at some of the titles. Purchasing anime DVD requires a strong determination coz it costs about $300 for 13 ep series and $700 for 26 ep series. So in order to sell an anime DVD, they should add something extra besides general quality to it.

I know. Just saying there are certainly some on that list I'd buy myself. ^^ And it is a shame to see them selling so poorly in Japan. But it's understandable in many cases, as most of those shows don't have mass market appeal.

DVD sales is the most merciless way to evaluate an anime. No matter how much people discussed it online and gave a high score or wrote a long review, it's regarded as a failure if the DVD sales are bad.

A few of those I'll certainly buy, including Bartender, Kamisama Kazoku, Kenichi, NHK ni Youkoso, Soukou no Strain and Yoshinaga-san'chi no Gargoyle. Would consider numerous other titles if I see them on special. But of course... they need to be licensed, and released here in AU... >.>

Shame to see some of those doing so poorly. Bokura ga Ita, Himawari, Hime-sama Goyoujin and Ray the Animation were all reasonably enjoyable. But I can see why they'd do fairly poorly.
