9.5 | As a total fetus to the anime world, this was one of the first anime I've ever gotten into, and I really only decided to casually watch the first ep because I saw this recommended and was curious. I never expected to be snatched in a chokehold and dragged into the cruel and terrifying world of giant human-eating monsters, emo but endearing teens, a hunk of a squad leader and a totally exhilarating story. Now, I'm HOOKED. This is definitely worthy of the hype. (I'm holding off on giving this anime a 10 only because I wanna give myself headroom for future animes.)

9/10 | The betrayals and reveals cut me to the core. This anime is ruthless, man. Animation on point as always, and the action scenes are exhilarating.
