i notice a common thread in these historical anime with red head heroines: they always instills a beautiful atmosphere full of hope. looking forward to season 2.

careful of what you wish. then again, curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back to life. that's how i feel about this story. it's slow moving with a purpose. very nice story.

This story is about the relationships that develop between humans and dragons who have resonated (connected) with each other. Though interesting, what I can not forgive is this cliched, illogical, warped, anime perspective of characters who harbor unfounded hatred toward others for their misfortunes. That aspect partially killed it for me (hence, the average score). Other than that, I did enjoy watching it.

very beautiful artwork. extremely sad love story of two newly weds whose lives were ruined on their marriage night because of greed and lust. this is a commentary on political dynamics between the haves and the have-nots, and the weaknesses of the mass. the filmmaker did not hold back as he graphically told this story.

sweet feel in the daily lives of kids growing up in the countryside.

even better then 1st season. the attention to detail from changes in the seasons to the nuances that individualizes each characters was spectacular to watch. the only reason why i'm not giving a 10 is the brother's silence does annoy me. i'm really curious why that is though... other then that, this is one of my favorite slice of life shows.

What is the perfect society? Is the answer to remove the individual's right for the good of all? This is an excellent analytical look into what could happen if an assimilation of all minds into one were to take place, and it's effects on humanity.
