1 | ![]() | Texhnolyze Texhnolyze is as dark and gritty as it gets in terms of setting and atmosphere. This show isn't necessarily a fun watch, but in turn, that's what makes it so fun to watch. The art is absolutely fantastic, especially with the limitations presented by time and budget. I felt truly connected to the characters, and certain themes such as the deep red surrounding Ichise's rage gave me goosebumps. I rate it an 8/10 as I enjoyed it thoroughly, but a lot of ideas and characters could've been developed further. I also sometimes struggled to follow with the plot, but I wouldn't let it affect my rating, with the spectator style of storytelling being an art style instead of an oversight. [rating changed to 9/10 in hindsight] As a side note, why were there so many references to TV's showing the events that unfolded? They made it look like Lux was being watched for entertainment, especially when the last episode had a documentary style explanation at the beginning. I understand stylistic choice, but it was ambiguous as to what the intent of doing that actually was. | 9 | TV | 22 | |||
