Fruits Basket
This is too good of a shoujo to miss. Features tons of cute elements, dramatic and touching scenes, lovely good-looking characters, sweet background scenes+ music...it really has nothing bad about it and is very easy to get hooked.The ending was however, only a temporary one and didn't go deeper like in the manga. Still, it is a pleasing watch, go for it and indulge in the sugary sweetness

Full Moon wo Sagashite
Looks like a typical shoujo or even a kids anime at first sight, but do not be fooled. Even though the first 25 episodes are light, cute and amusing, the next 25 take a dramatic turn, building up the climax till the tearjerking last bit. Character development and emotion is really good, music especially the 4 songs sung by Mitsuki are wonderful. Memorable story and wonderful characters, definitely do not miss this

Fushigi Yuugi OVA
Even though I have read the manga, this OVA was still done rather well. Animation had really improved a lot compared to the original tv series and the seiyuus as usual, did a good job for the characters. If you liked the tv series, watch this

Right after the 1st OVA, this maintains the same standard and remains faithful to the manga counterpart. A good watch for all Fushigi Yuugi fans

Fushigi Yuugi: Eikouden
Sequel of the original series, and does not manage to keep up its standard. In fact, this story was totally meaningless, animation had improved but well...who cares when the whole plot just plainly sucks. Opening theme was however, really enchanting.

Gakuen Alice
Loaded with cuteness and a very interesting story, plus unique characters with their separate abilities and occasional funny and touching moments. Music and animation isn't that great, its mainly the characters and story that excel. Do try this if you don't mind some cute shoujo to brighten up your day, don't mind if it looks kiddy, theres actually an unseen dark side

Satou Junichi's works are a must see. This is highly recommended if you want to get spun off in a seemingly magical setting with a strong-willed heroine. Words are not able to describe the wonderful finale

Beginning was really good...characters, music, plot, pacing...everything was flawless and I was totally addicted. BUT the ending was probably one of the biggest disappointments, consisting of manga cutouts. Totally ruined a supposedly greatest shoujo anime to be created

Nanatsu-iro★Drops
I should probably state again that i've grown out of mahou-shoujo series, even more so that the girl appears like a kiddy while the guy is literally grown. And her being a crybaby does not help. The series however features good animation and some pretty nice tunes, however plot was a little too generic. The last few episodes turned really sappy but there were some sweet moments.
Overall recommended if you are a fan of this genre, otherwise...not really worth your time |

Paradise Kiss
This anime features gorgeous fashions and pretty-much realistic looking characters. Even then, the ending was a big let down which made you think all the plot that built up was for nothing. Characters were less than appealing as well. Another good thing to note would be the OP and ED theme which were very good indeed

Princess Tutu
At first glance this looks like a typical sugary sweet shoujo, but it goes more than you think, the plot gets darker and the twist in the end is what you won't be expecting. Theres a lovely classical soundtrack to go with this as well and pretty much lovable characters, although Ahiru was a bit irritating in the beginning. Face it, theres probably no other anime out there featuring ballet, this is enough to make it stand out among all the rest

Shin Shirayuki-hime Densetsu Prétear
A short and sweet anime that as usual, has a very normal girl who attains powers, and has a group of bishonens to protect her. Animation wasn't anything to brag about, although it wasn't that bad either, some random funny plus action scenes are also done pretty well. The twist in the end did redeem this whole series from being generic. Watch it if you are fans of this genre

For non-manga readers, this series would be very very confusing since everything is packed into 3 episodes. It is really shame since this could be done much better.

Yamato Nadeshiko Shichihenge♥
The story had such potential but it was filled with repetitive scenes and jokes that failed to be hilarious, in short....the comedy was overused till it wasn't even funny. Characters did not really improve as well, the ending felt like a total reset of the series, not a very good watch for a romance/comedy shoujo series
