Ayakashi: Japanese Classic Horror
I was spooked by the first arc, but the rest were ok. A good thing to watch for a change as its not typical harem, shonen or romance. Its unique on its own and deserves a try.

Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha
A masked hero..or what? with a nice guy personality in normal life but extremely skillful and brutal when he dons his mask. Sounds pretty cliched but still done right. DtB succeeds in building a mysterious atmosphere and doesnt make it too heavy with occasional jokes. Characters are likable and although well developed, would have been better if series was extended. Music wasn't much to my liking but fit the series well. Animation was plain gorgeous as expected from Bones.

Death Note
This is truly excellent, I left the manga halfway through but was still somewhat spoiled by the deaths...still the anime managed to amaze me with the quality and intense atmosphere it created. Honourable mentions are the 2 VAs Miyano Mamoru and Kappei Yamaguchi for portraying Light and L so wonderfully, of course all the music was a plus too

Dennou Coil
Pretty good sci-fi series, though its more on the slice-of-life and mystery bit in which it focuses on a group of children in a certain town where 'glasses' rule their life. The story is very creative and you'll see elements never ever used before in other animes. Characters were ok but Yasako herself as the main protagonist doesn't come across very strong and is mainly overshadowed by others.Overall I'd say its good but probably with less pacing problems and filler episodes, then it'd turn out excellent.

Ergo Proxy
I liked this in the beginning but towards the back I couldn't really care or concentrate anymore, maybe due to the slow moving plot, or the bland characters, its just....well.... not done as well as i expected, plus the animation at first sight is great but keeps getting really ugly

Fantastic Children
Definitely not to be missed, if only more animes were done like this. The storyline is one of the most complex in animes, starts out really confusing but the twist in the middle is the key to making it a masterpiece. The art unfortunately is the worse bit and is likely to turn most off, only several tracks of the BGM were good but the ED theme was beautiful!

Gankutsuou
Adaptation of the famous novel 'The Count of Monte Cristo'. I have seen the movie before this so this anime provided quite a surprise because some incidents were changed, furthermore, the main character was Albert not the Count. This wasn't that bad because it actually felt more refreshing. The animation does take some time to get used to considering its really very very artistic. Ending theme was really catchy and overall BGM had a dramatic feel.

Gosick
As a bones show, this promised consistent quality, meaning music, characters, and direction. At first Kujoe does seem too much like a pushover (and he looks like one too), Victorique is too tsundere. However later on they gradually become endearing due to the relationship progression. Some mysteries seem a bit lame but thats due to the supernatural element included. Overall a pretty good watch and the last few episodes are quite bittersweet!

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
Do not be fooled by its appearance, despite all the cute girls, Higurashi is no harem. The story can get quite confusing but it is very interesting all the same, as well as very creepy and scary to watch at night. Characters all had significant behaviours but they were all a big bunch of psychos. Op and end theme were really good as well. A very worthy watch indeed

Jigoku Shoujo
Starts out really episodic which actually can put off many due to its repetitive nature, the real story begins at the last few episodes though. I liked the atmosphere and music, plus even though the eyes were rather creepy, the whole anime was overall done rather well.

Le Chevalier D'Eon
Excellent animation and BGM. The story was also very unique in the sense that it was adapted from a real person's life..but with added fantasy. Pacing can be very slow and serious, but has excellent swordfights and rather good characters. OP and ED songs are lovely as well

Madlax
I thought Noir was yawn-inducing enough, didn't know Madlax was the same kind. It started out quite interesting mostly because of Yuki Kajiura's wonderful soundtrack and a promising story. But, due to the slow shots and expressionless characters, it is very easy to get bored quickly.This series tries to combine action and psychological factors together, ending up in a mixed bag of confusion instead

Matantei Loki Ragnarok
The OP theme tricked me into this and I was prepared for anime filled with mystery+supernatural goodness. The disappointment was great when I found only the first arc was worth watching, the rest was totally kiddy-ish with a brainless irritating heroine, other equally noisy characters.... how I managed to finish this was a wonder. Oh well...at least the last few episodes redeemed a bit of it for me

Mononoke
well....all i can say is, if you enjoyed the Bakaneko arc, last arc of Ayakashi japanese classic horrors, you'll surely enjoy this. Also the main character, medicine seller is made of win, adding more credit since Takahiro Sakurai is voicing him. The art and animation still remain unique and really depends on a like hate factor. Still many mysterious stories and some can be pretty much horrifying. All in all, I enjoyed it but its definitely not for everyone, it was done extremely well, but i'm minusing points because some stories were just too weird for my liking.

Ray The Animation
This series had the potential since there aren't many medical animes out there, even then, it actually failed to deliver. I won't criticize it being episodic since many other animes I liked were episodic, this however, although having several interesting cases, had much more anticlimatic and way-too-over solutions. The mini arc at the end was initially rather intriguing but died somewhere halfway such that I nearly fell asleep being to bored. Characters were not memorable, Ray herself was boring, at least Shnoyama was slightly more interesting but failed to leave too much of an impression.
Finally, the animation was inconsistant and horrible! in the sense that it was so awkward that it could not convey the actions and character emotions properly. That one big flaw was probably what took out the most enjoyment for me.The only good bits was the OP, maybe the animation team spent their budget on that. Red Garden
Gorgeous artistic animation, great voice acting and a rather intriguing plot, this anime is totally unique that words cannot describe it. It may get a little dramatic at times but thats understandable giving the conditions the characters are in. Great value IMO

Spiral: Suiri no Kizuna
Considering I watched this without expecting much, this anime was a pretty good surprise. The story was overall very interesting and full of scenes that keep you in suspense. Characters, Ayumu and Hiyono are an interesting pair, in which you are always kept guessing what Ayumu has up his sleeve, and how he can solve the situations about him. Animation is pretty good as well. The problem was, this anime ended without anything solved or explained, which is a shame considering how good the whole plot was set up, this could have easily made it as a masterpiece for many
