Azumanga Daiou The Animation
You either like this or hate this, I found the beginning random and boring but then the characters grew on me. Ending was so nostalgic, will make you think of your school life.

This would have gotton a higher mark if not for the ending which totally didn't make sense, in fact no one could see it coming. Some may argue that its a twist but its very sloppy IMO

Gakuen Alice
Loaded with cuteness and a very interesting story, plus unique characters with their separate abilities and occasional funny and touching moments. Music and animation isn't that great, its mainly the characters and story that excel. Do try this if you don't mind some cute shoujo to brighten up your day, don't mind if it looks kiddy, theres actually an unseen dark side

Genshiken
A very interesting take on the lifes of otakus and what is always going on in their minds. May seem like a boring story but in fact it has a very amusing set of characters to start, and also the funny antics...which may seem normal to them but to us...its just hilarious!

Gokusen
The animation does turn you off a bit due to the seemingly 'ugly' characters and also a storyline that resembles GTO. Still, this anime is a good comedy, very relaxing to watch as well as providing suitable moments that will not bore you.

Hitohira
Pretty good anime about a girl with very low self-confidence being sort of forced to act on stage. Overall the concept was pretty good although pacing was also rather slow sometimes. Also some angst seemed a bit out of place, even then this is still quite a good slice-of-life show

I My Me! Strawberry Eggs
Resembles Mrs Doubtfire just that this time the man is dressing up to be a female teacher. Its pretty much average in the beginning but I liked how the story developed, a bit sad that it ended just like that though. Animation was just average and OP+ED themes weren't that nice. Still this series succeeds in producing a funny but heart-warming story in just 12 episodes

Itazura na Kiss
Since I already knew the story, I was actually a bit bored at the start, plus Kotoko was the type of female lead I absolutely hated. However, this anime continued to surprise me as they progressed from a normal high school romance to uni to work and finally to baby birth. Seriously, that alone was enough to make me rake the anime to a high score, especially the last episode was so warm and fuzzy that I was feeling teary. Of course the 2nd ending song was my absolute favourite as well.
Overall I'd say this has to be watched with patience, but the the characters grow and by the last episode, you'll definitely by rewarded. Downloaded Episodes: 25 |

Joshikousei: Girl's High
Although very ecchi and sometimes meaningless, this anime still provides amusing concepts on how high school girls are like and their daily actions which kinda applied a bit to real life. Animation and music isn't that great but overall the anime was entertaining enough to keep me watching

Karin
An interesting take on the vampire legends, poking fun at most of the superstitions as well as introducing an 'abnormal' vampire, Karin who donates blood instead of sucking them. Very enjoyable watch, including the slight twist at the end which will easily fool anyone.

Lovely★Complex
Funny and amusing series, mainly about the relationship between a tall girl and short boy. Animation is pretty simple and low budget but then the characters are all so lovable that it can be overlooked. The ending was totally fuzzy and heartwarming, one more interesting thing to note is that everyone talked in 'kansai-ben', not what you'll usually see in animes.

Midori no Hibi
A hilarious story about a guy who wakes up one day to find his right hand has turned into a girl. Sawara Seiji is a good-hearted delinquent who scares everyone because of some over-exaggerated legends about him, Midori is the extremely cute 'right hand' that is secretly in love with Seiji. The antics of this pair will leave you in fits of laughter. Although short, this anime definitely ranks high among the best comedies ever

Nanaka 6/17
The animation was just average as well as the sounds. Story though, was actually rather interesting as Nanaka's personality changes between 6 and 17, causing people around her to be baffled, especially her childhood friend. It was a good watch overall

Over Drive
Started out slow and I nearly wanted to drop it, however when the race started it became very addictive. This series suffered a bit from a weak BGM (i havent been impressed by Ko Otani since Haibane Renmei), and a weird main character. Even after picking up steam in the middle, there were too many flashbacks plus even some useless ero jokes that totally ruined the atmosphere.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
I have very mixed feelings about this series, its very unique especially with the humour and how everything plays out, but sometimes so weird that I can't help thinking what they are trying to say and whether I should be laughing. Overall the characters are very interesting and the if they are doing a good job portraying and criticizing society stereotypes, even then, its not really my taste when it comes to comedy

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu
Started out hilarious but then became rather so-so near the end. Characters were ok but disliking Haruhi made it hard for me to like the series, redeeming factor was Kyon with his cynical remarks, plus the great animation and catchy ED song. No idea why this is hailed so much, it definitely didn't live up to my expectations

Tenjou Tenge
Yes, the animation is good and the opening song is extremely catchy...giving me all the reasons for checking this out, however the plot ends up falling hard, focusing 3/4 on the past and underdeveloped characters. Oh and the main characters Nagi and Bob were total jerks. The ecchiness in this anime did turn me off as well. An okay watch but I won't recommend this in a hurry
