I loved the first series, and as this one provided a closure, more great characters and more epic fights, it surpassed the first one even though the 1st adaptation still holds a special place in my heart. Theres nothing you can really complain about this, everything from characters...plot...animation is just top notch. Basically, it was an epic ride from the beginning till the end, you get so glued and attached that you'd feel sad its all over. Its been a while since I've given an anime masterpiece, but seriously, theres nothing more fitting to be the top placed anime in MAL.

This is like Black Lagoon, so if you like the premise then you'll enjoy this. I liked Koko, to me she was the most interesting character in this series as sly, calculating female leads aren't seen often. The music was pretty awesome too!

There's something lacking in this series. It has guns, action, great music, interesting characters and a brainy heroine yet there's something missing that makes it a keeper. Although the 2nd season was better than the 1st, the lack of soul in this series makes it hard for one to recommend it.

Started out seemingly generic but first episode ended at a great note, I'd say best episode so far of that season! It turned out really enjoyable, rare to see a 34 year old action protagonist nowadays

I will have to admit I wasn't that interested in this anime at first since no one raved about it, and due to low expectations, I thought it was much better than expected. If you are coming in looking for a war, political centered plot, you'll be hugely disappointed since this anime focuses more on character relationships. Lots of scenes didn't make sense but then again, I thought it was thoroughly enjoyable because the feelings of the main characters were fleshed out so well. Maybe the girl-side of me was squealing, especially during the triangular romance scene between Alicia and the 2 fine men (yes, not schoolboys but MEN!!). Some scenes took me off-guard, especially since I hadn't played the game which was for the better of course.
The music was lovely too, however the downside was the animation which even though originally appeared soft and fluid, just got choppy halfway through, making it even hard to ignore.
Overall I would classify this as a war drama with little action, it didn't fare well in some parts but did an excellent job in building characters, and thats what you should look out for when watching the series.

One thing to note, military and moe do not mix well together, plus adding slice-of-life for the majority doesn't make it any better as well. The beginning was quite interesting, it had a gorgeous setting which had so much potential, but the moe issues just killed everything. I got so bored that I was literally skipping through most of it, the inconsistencies at the end when they finally thought they should get into the 'war' plot made it worse.
I wouldn't recommend this, its an original concept but poorly executed.

Pretty good overall, nice characters and a pretty interesting premise, although the way they would go all out to protect the books seemed a bit too over the top for me. In the sense it seemed a bit hilarious. Even then, the chemistry between Dojo and Kasahara is undeniably good and probably one of the good reasons I continued to watch. Kasahara herself is a very amusing female lead, brimming with energy and filled with passion, exactly the type of lead characters i like to see

The animation is lack-luster but this show does not aim to thrill viewers with that. I felt momentarily detached from the main character until the later episodes upon which each rescue started to give the thrills. This show is so realistic I almost forgot I was watching anime again (and it has really been a while). In fact, this will fall under the radar just because its not attractive enough. Although I probably won't watch it again, I will still say its a solid piece of work that teaches you more about the value of life.

Can't say much about this prequel, I was hoping it would be a continuation really. But showing it from the 'medic' staff's POV was pretty good too I guess, though not much was said and I didn't really know what was going on.
