There are things that that anime presents way better than the manga and there are things that manga explains better than the anime (a typical set up). I would've give it a 10, if it had an ending worthy of it. Over all amazing anime and I mean AMAZING anime... sadly it ends with to many loose ends. Thankfully the manga explains them ^_^. I hope there's a continuation of this franchise.

First three episodes are slow as hell, but after that every single episode just starts getting better and better. One of the few endings I can say I'm satisfied with.

HILARIOUS! It is OMG LOL but only if you've watched the series. Other wise you wont understand the subtext of several scenes.

A huge improvement from the original series. If the rest of the movies keep the story as compelling and stable as the first has already established...well, i just might count myself as NGE fan.

A big childhood anime of mine.

It was given to me completely randomly. Nothing was explained and i was told to just watch. I had scene a good 1/3 of the anime and was still as lost as to what the plot was really all about as i was when given the anime. Nonetheless half way through the anime I realized that was its aim. To confuse the hell out of you and make you laugh.

Better than I expected, and I had expected pretty high. The pace could've been quicker, but ultimately the series wraps in a very nice, neat and surprising package.

Loved it, holds a special place in my heart. Good Character development, fun action scenes and girls that kick major butt!

Amazing anime on all forefronts. Great animation, great story, great pace with the episodes. I only have two complains: 1. there were a couple of episodes that were just plain stupid. 2. I wanted some more background/character development on the main Character. That's doesn't mean the main character isn't kick ass, its just you finish the anime wanting more info on him.

You get what you expect.

Disgusted and disappointed with series. It gives you high hopes of being this cool sophisticated sci-fi, mecha, psycological thriller.... but it comes up so short its bellow your knees.

When compared to the game it's with out a doubt a 1. If its considered as a stand alone anime maybe i would give it a higher score. Being that I've played the game and constantly compare it story wise... i couldn't stomach how off it was.

Sucky plot, 1 dimensional characters and pure fanservice. I got better anime's to waste my time on.
