Flipping Fantastic until just a few weeks ago. Now... sigh...I do hope it eventually gets awesome again.
The filler arcs even were pretty cool to me. All but one which we just skimmed through.

I was really struck by the style of animation when I first saw this log long ago. To this day I remembered that the girls reminded me of cats and it had the word Battle in the name. That's it really. It is worth an hour and a half if you like me are interested in the art of it. My first view into Mecha anime.

The thing that is best about this movie is a music video someone made once using Rob Zombie's More Human Than Human. It basically squeezes all of the awesome scenes into one. It was circulated in the anime underground scene.

I always made everyone get to the 4th episode before they dropped it. Only one person did. My husband. at about episode 6.

I have this copied on VHS format from a friend, warped and nearly unwatchable and I have the dvd box set as well.

The audio is 100% music. We have watched it or run it in the background on loop. Love it!

My first slice of life type anime, I think. Only problem I had, if I remember properly, is that the end few episodes go off into la la land so I wasn't satisfied. I do remember really really liking it up til that point. Worth a re watch after all these years. And I do believe that the series is vastly over looked. It's a shame.

Awesome til near the end....when they start basically explaining everything to the viewer via a character that doesn't know what is going on. Worth it to watch it til that point tho.

I remember being a little confused since I hadn't watched the series much. But this OVA is simply amazing. I need to watch this one again. I am getting a little teary eyed just thinking about it.

I THINK this is the one I watched. I liked it but was very confused because i had no knowledge of any of the games or other OVAs or the series.

My boyfriend at the time, many years ago showed me two versions of this Anime. I can't remember which one I liked a lot and which was a pale shadow of the other and was plain eh. So I will rate a flat 7 until I figure it out

But I loved the art as a teen just breaking into drawing from Video Game magazines. The anime was crap tho.

SOMETHING in the X Franchise that I saw was GREAT but it wasn't this. I remember being extremely confused watching this one. It made no sense.

I own the first few VHS tapes but never could get the rest. I might have to check it out again. Some of the scenes and characters stuck with me so it couldn't be just a run of the mill anime.

After having seen the 2040 version I couldn't sit through this one. It just doesn't even begin to compare visually and as an artist I gravitate toward those beautiful crisp scenes. This one being so very old just couldn't hold my interest. Had I known I was half done ...I might have finished it
