Major Land is a colorful world of music where instruments and notes come to life. During an annual concert event, Hummy, the cat songstress of Major Land, prepares to sing the "Melody of Happiness," capable of spreading happiness to worlds beyond. However, Mephisto, the king of Minor Land, interrupts the event and rewrites the score into the "Melody of Sorrow"—a dissonant composition that would instead cause despair when performed. In order to prevent this from happening, Hummy is tasked with finding the Precure, renowned warriors with an unmatched passion for music, and recreating the Melody of Happiness.

Hummy arrives in Kanon Town, home of musically-inclined athlete Hibiki Houjou and studious baker Kanade Minamino. Engaging only in endless bickers, Hibiki and Kanade were formerly best friends and have since fallen out of touch. Their activities are stopped short by an unwelcome guest—the songstress of Minor Land, Siren.

When Siren turns an important record into a gigantic monster, the girls' hearts resonate with the desire to protect what they hold dear and the two transform into the Suite Precure! As legendary warriors, Hibiki and Kanade will have to put their personal squabbles aside if they wish to protect the happiness of the world.

"Suite Precure" doesn't seem to have the best reputation in the Precure franchise. With weak starting episodes, silly conflict between the two main girls, and being the next installment after the highly successful and loved "Heartcatch Precure," expectations were both raised high for it and then shot down when it didn't deliver things similar to it's predecessors. Tag this along with the fact that it borrowed some used plotlines from previous seasons and people conjure up the idea that Suite is worst Precure season. With all of this on the table, is it safe to say that this is really the case?

I, for one, ...

So...the rating. How did Suite do as a season? Let's see! To start with, this theme was described as "the season most heavily obsessed with its motif:" music. I would like to say that this is extremely true, as the series seems to be almost obsessed with music to the point that some of the plot no longer makes sense. The idea of there being simply two songs, one to represent the happiness of all and the other to represent the sorrow of all, is, to say the least, an incredibly basic concept, and in retrospect, probably shouldn't have been applied so liberally and perhaps ...

Ah, Suite Pretty Cure. After rewatching it, I’d have to say this would be the season I probably enjoyed the most of the Pretty Cure franchise. Overall, not an amazing show, but a very enjoyable one. Obviously, Pretty Cure is made for kids so they can’t experiment much with how they make the seasons (They tried that with GoPrincess and parents in Japan didn’t like it). Though many people dislike this season, I just can’t bring myself to hate it.

I find the cures to be unique compared to some other cures in the franchise. Though Ellen seems like a “copy” of Setsuna, she’s basically ...
