This may seem like a stretch but hear me out. Much in tune with the idea that you can "make an anime out of anything", both shows are not *really* about what you think they are. Well, MoshiDora spells it out for you with its very long title but if you didn't already get it...MoshiDora isn't really an anime about Baseball. Baseball just happens to be the medium to convey the real message of applying Drucker's management strategies to a variety of situations. In the same way Bartender tells a variety of different stories using the medium of a bartending and drinks with  read more

Managing a baseball team vs managing the demon lord's army. Both make use of basic managerial principles and concepts and go through what makes a good leader.

- Both stories/plot focuses on their clubs related to their sport/game. - The group aspires to improve and aim higher and go on training camps for that purpose.

Like Major, Moshidora is a sports anime, but not just baseball. It's about the dramas of life and being a human that struggles to deal with the challenges that life brings. Both animes have very touching moments that send a strong message: it was never about sport. It was about ourselves.

Both titles are not your average baseball anime. Moshidora focuses on using the rules of business management to help the team's players understand the game and their role/interest in it better, while One Outs is a psychological battle of wits on the field, whereby a particularly perceptive pitcher who loves gambling manipulates the players around him, mostly on the opposite team but also his own teammates, into earning his team as many wins as he can. Whether you'll like both will depend on your tastes - shoujo philosophy vs intelligent shounen action - but chances are that a baseball fan will at least want to try  read more

Both series mix cute girls and baseball, striving toward lofty goals but mostly just enjoying their youth. Moshidora's approach is more pragmatic, but the mix of moe and baseball is very uncommon.

Moshidora is based on Drucker's management book, but if the games and drama that the series presented got your attention, so try Major! The first half of the season has some high quality drama, and the second half brings all the baseball action that Moshidora only gave a taste to the fans.

Both are about baseball and about life. The sport is more of like a medium and the main focus is character development, although big wind up is a bit more detailed on the sport.
