Both anime dealt with a section of the environment getting destroyed in some form.

They might seem different but Arata naru Sekai: Mirai-hen and Coppelion both give off a similar vibe with a familiar environment. The main characters in fact hopes to prevent humanity's destruction in a futuristic settings. Additionally, the main characters all possesses special abilities that makes them more unique than others. There is also the theme of science fiction along with emotional factors.

Both anime feature the following: A modern world in which humanity is near extinction and trying to survive. Genetically superior/modified humans (mostly girls) that are resilient to the source of extinction and fighting to save humanity. Differences: Black Bullet's affliction is a virus that mutates people into giant monsters, and Coppelion is simply the aftermath of a giant nuclear explosion and people surviving areas with nuclear waste. I am more so recommending Black Bullet to people who watched Coppelion, as Coppelion seems much less interesting to me. Black Bullet seems to be more action packed and has a bit of romance and a loving loli. Coppelion is more of  read more

Shinsekai Yori and Coppelion both takes place in a setting of an unique world that contrasts greatly from our own. These worlds takes place in the future and has an apocalyptic-like atmosphere. There is distant technology in such a future as well with science fiction themes. There is a small cast of characters involved with both series. These characters have different personalities but makes their relationships worthwhile. Additionally, there seems to be secrets regarding the world that the characters resides in that they don't even know themselves as they embark on a journey of discovery.

BTOoOM! Has a very similar setting. Different plot but I can definitely see these girls having to deal with a lot of moral issues and meeting people with their own.

Guilty crown is similar to coopelion in a few ways.. -Both animes have a sort of disease/epidemic -People have special powers.

Both anime talk about living Entities that been created or modified by humans, have main governments that are corrupted and have female MC's with super powers doing the tasks that are assigned to them.

I'm surprised no one has recommended this because they're similar in many ways. Both main characters do not have powers. A big void appeared in Needless (where only few can enter) and the same happened in Coppelion where a meltdown occurred and only few can enter. Both also involve a disease or epidemic.

Both shows revolve around 18-year-old girls with superhuman strength who help people in a post-apocalyptic Japan, caused by a disaster that occurred some time before the story started- in "Shangri-La", the disaster was an earthquake, while in "Coppelion", it was a nuclear meltdown. In both cases, the main characters belong to a group that regularly looks for various essential items in order to survive, though "Shangri-La" eventually evolves into more than just a fight for survival. Imo, neither show is particularly great, but I'd say if you like one, you will probably like the other.

Both shows involve girls as main characters who are survivng in the post-apocalyptic environment, moving around from place to place within a single city. The vibes are very different, though.

Similarities: The same dystopian future where civilization has ended. The same situation were in involves youths roaming the ruins of what was once a prosperous area. The same kind of youths that were genetically modified to survive the ruin world. Dissimilarities: In one anime the characters there involve three girls whom were not dress for the occasion , while in the other anime it involves just two characters one girl and one boy whom were in a proper attire. In Coppelion the 3 girls have a mission to save what was left of humankind , while in Tengoku the 2 individuals were merely scraping a living.

Same 3 school girls in a post-apocalyptic setting.

Includes a similar background of the outside world that is trashed and messed up. Both protagonist groups have the same goal of rescuing people from the outside.

Zankyou no Terror is easily one of the best shows of the year, and it has some similarities with Coppelion, another show I liked. The similarity that meant the most to me is the poignant emotions of the characters arising from the complicated situations they are in. Nuclear energy, the corruption of politicians, medical experimentation on children, the absolute hierarchical tyranny of Japanese bureuacracy and the interference of international powers in internal affairs are shared features of both anime. Both are set in Tokyo (Coppelion in a post-apocalyptic city). In both cases, the characters are led to ponder the question of their own identities and  read more

You'll never think both of these anime has their similarities. Both anime are set in post-catastrophic world. Except Coppelion is set in futuristic world and DeSu2 is set in modern world. Coppelion has weapon fights and DeSu2 has demon fights. Both anime has a pretty good storyline with plot twists. MCs in both anime are nice and forgiving despite the crimes people had done against them. And for some reason, both anime are too underrated.

Government enhanced girls with shortened lifespans that fight former soldiers.

Both talk about what it truly means to be a human without having most characteristics one would assume to be one. both have semi-humans looking at normal humans and the line is draw thin between both of them

Both Anime orient around the day-to-day lives of three school-age girls' in an unfamiliar or overblown situation as they are special. Due to their "specialty" they are used by organizations for the better of mankind. Both containing themes such as: - Reason for being; "Am I a Puppet/Weapon for this organization?", etc. - Discrimination; Inhuman Powers/Genetically engineered. Discriminated against for being above human. - Family; E.g. Being with those they love./ Non-"traditional" family. - Life Lessons; Growing up in the world you're faced with and overcoming the hardships. - Female leads - "School" setting; Principles, vice-principles, teachers & students. - "Zettai Karen Children!"; "Absolutely adorable Children" - Kids are cute, and  read more

Why help those who have turned their backs on us? The setting of a dystopian society and the main character's attempts to restore the city to its former glory. We must fight for the innocent and to fulfill our mission. No matter what the costs, we will fight for our comrades and to live another day in content. With our powers, we can achieve the impossible goal. Even with our dorky companions and lovers fighting with us, we will prevail.

They both have an evolution of the human race with special characteristics

Both shows have a very similar feeling with high-school-age girls (with similar designs) fighting in similar urban settings. They fight against unknown forces and are trying to restore balance and save people. Both are seinen and have plenty of drama between the main characters and the groups they work for.

The story follows 3 main heroins in a advance sci-fi adventure where they go to a place to meet a certain goal. However, an obstacle is in there way when some government or military are going to capture them. The characters are often seen through dramatic events when looking on their perspective view. Galilei Donna follows the Ferrari sisters, who are given chase by the government. They go off in an adventure to search some secrets that they never heard of. Coppelion follows three high school girls in a post apocalyptic setting of Tokyo where their task is too find many people as they can  read more
