Fractale

The stories are based around a future with high level technollogy that allows a select group of huimans to live in peace. Yet there is a dark secret behind the societies that they are living in. Both happen to feature young males whose perspective of the world is naive, not to mention innocent of the way the world looks. But when someone suddenly shows up, a person very mysterious, suddenly, their lives end up being turned upside down. 

A youthful romance develops on a rebel airship with an eccentric crew and a charismatic captain. Although similar, they are not "alike." Still, if you enjoy one, you are likely to enjoy the other. 

Lightly steampunkish futuristic series dealing with everyday protagonists getting gradually drawn into a war taking place. They definitely have the same feel to them. 

After watching the first episode of Fractale, the first thing I thought of was X'amd Lost Memories/Nausicaa and how grand the story was to be. A kid enjoying everyday life suddenly taken out of that with the help of uncommon events. The music and art styles are very similar and give off a nice slice of life feel that's pretty relaxing.  

World in the future, new technologies and organization fighting for freedom. Both have some similar supporting characters. 

Similar feel, art, music and setting. However, Laputa is far superior in every way and if you enjoyed Fractale, you'll be blown away by Laputa. 

Young teenage boy MC discover a young girl who is newly born and has to protect her from being captured. The world is not our world so you have to discover it gradually and discover the secrets behind why there are people coming to capture our girl 

The lighthearted settings contain many surprisingly dark aspects. Another commonality is the dystopic world as seen from the perspective of a small European-esque landscape. 

A time far in the future where what we once knew has turned into a system believed to be ideal. But not all is as it seems and much has been lost or tossed along the way. 

similar art style and a very heart-warming characters and plot  

Two societies put in contrast; one being fully advanced, technology wise, and the other not so much. Two characters are put in between them and are bound to help each other in situations of war or pure conflict.  

Both anime transports the viewer to a colorful and breathtaking world completely different than our own. In both anime, the setting is absolutely incredible and beautiful, but have dark undertones and tragic moments. Everything isn't as colorful as the backgrounds. Humanity has an extremely drastically low population and is close to completely dying out. For the main characters, both shows have young adolescent boys that are interested in history (one boy preserves history while the other searches for artifacts and stories of the past) and want to find other humans. The boys both are connected to mysterious girls that bring major change. I love both shows and I honestly feel like if you enjoy one, you will also enjoy the other. They have very similar overall feels to them.  read more 

Both take place in a futuristic world where humanity depends on technology. Fractale is more childish/romance while PP is more action/mystery.  

Futurisitic societies where people isolate themselves from each other, the series deal in the long run with a secret that revolves around exploiting females and stopping said exploitation. 

What does the future hold? Both of the Anime explore this topic, yet I dare not go into how more lest I give spoilers for Nerawareta Gaukuen, but what the future holds does play an important role, with what the future holds having a slightly different meaning in each series with an emphasis being on future as relevant to the now. 

Both use some level of computer system or computer program to exist.  

They're both adventures and have the same ambience 

In both anime a boy who is obsessed with technology and has no life goal, meets a foreign girl and joins her adventure.  

Both anime: -have a smooth-like colourful graphics -are about a blonde boy, who meets new friends and strives to save them -have happy-go-lucky atmosphere with slight action and adventure elements 

Although they may differ in many ways (colours, pace, simlplicity), these two shows ask serious existential questions about human condition in a posthuman reality. 

From images, via imagery, to imaginarium. Beautiful art styles endeavor to express stunning chronotopes. To put it simple, Fractale and Flip Flappers can not only be set together alphabetically, but also regarding their respective overall beauty and creativity. 

Both titles take place in a coastal landscape with green meadows, steep cliffs, hills, stonewalls and sheep. Also the architecture is similar. For example, raw stone buildings with steep roofs can often be seen. There are interesting fantasy (Book of Bantorra) and science fiction (Fractale) elements, which have more or less potential. The technology is a mix of high tech and low tech. And... in both cases the ending is messy, with a lot of action and sappy speeches, but with no satisfying conclusion to the story. If you want to see a promising series end in a trainwreck, both titles may be for you.  

They are both set in the future and both use virtual reality to enhance the world as we know it. Definitely watch it. (^_-) 

A lot of similarities except for white haired children. Though the story progress same Fractale is shorter series, also adventrous vibe is same. 

They're both by the same director to begin with, giving them a very similar feel. They both also have a girl with special powers of some sort, the full extent of those powers unknown, meeting up with the main character. They both also have rather good animation too. Kannagi is a slice-of-life anime though, while Fractale is a sci-fi in a fantasy like world that actually has a plot.  

Though both are quite different, Toaru Hikuushi and Fractale give off a very similar feeling. Fractale is much more technologically advanced but still stick to rather dated things of the past similar to the setting of Toaru Hikuushi. Both these shows are an adventure, soaring into drama and romance. 

Both of these have some level of adventure. Though Arve Rezzle is a shorter series and Fractale is a longer one, they both have some huge computer network that people use or rely on. 

People should be free to make good and bad decisions. But do they want that? Similarities: ● temple ● girl with power to change the world ● religion that rules the world ● people trying to free the world 

In both of these series has a character that has a personality which allows them to interact with freely with people without worry. There is also the element of "doing without" which I won't go into more detail lest I give spoilers for either series. 

Future worlds where Earth has changed and humanity is trying to live using scientific ways. Also involves ships. 

Reality is how you see it, right? However, both of these series have a way of turning the main characters idea of reality on edge. The characters also have a degree of problems in their lives which lead to the big why of why things are going on. 

Can a guy save the girl he loves? Slowly but surely at first site he falls in love with her and he fights to make sure she has a good life. However, fate of the world is against him, is it not? 

Both Fractale and Kaiba have the concept of "memory data", which means that both shows feature alternate bodies with the possibility of loading an entire individual onto them. They also feature a world that has changed and modernized, but not entirely into the best. Not a dystopia in every sense, but a world that has developed into something very unfriendly. Both protagonists are also searching for a girl who possibly hold a lot of answers to their past and future.  

Two worlds that are separate from each other and people seek out the truth. 

Both are science fiction and has a theme of controlling humans. However, Fractale has a MUCH MORE happier mood than Ergo Proxy. In both anime, people tragically die and change.  

They are both extremely unusual. They make you wonder what the original creators could possibly have been thinking when they made these shows. Both Jinrui and Fractale are centered on the role of humanity in a distant future where the lives that we know today have all but disappeared. The stories are very different but the art is similar and both have great music. Also, awesome voice actors.  

Following a similar motif of storyline ideas and tropes these series are similar in many ways. Fractale being like a mixture of Castle in the Sky and Now and Then Here and There, although much better than the latter and on par or slightly worse than the prior. 

These two series may be seem lighthearted and family-friendly, but they both have something to offer for audiences of all ages, and have similar tones of good clean fun with a more serious plot lurking in the background. Also: both are about a group of children and young teens who are swept up in some sort of adventure. Both take place in a world with elements of both our own world's past and the technology of the future. And the trio of villains in Fractale was almost certainly influenced by a similar trio in Nadia. 

They both have very similar art styles and a sense of innocence in their story lines which make both incredibly charming to watch. Fractale is overall more structured and has a more defined plot, but Spirited Away is still one of the best animes ever made.

Similar sci-fi settings; the main characters are also innocent and changed by their experiences (Clain in Fractale, Kenichi in Metropolis). Tima in Metropolis is, in addition, similar to Nessa. They both do not know much about the true world. Both works feature journeys that, while innocent on the surface, really challenge the viewer and makes on reflect.
