New Interest Stack
Interest StacksThese are some pretty good psychological anime series and movies.. Some are new and some are a little older. Enjoy! Anime with characters who consistently show actually autistic traits - stimming, obsession with very specific things and themes, social phobia, unwillingness to change routines, monotone or stereotyped speaking, strict habits, lack of interest in personal exchanges, difficulty building/maintaining relationships, unusual manners and gestures, selective but very strong empathy etc. Let's face it, we all have that one friend who has a prejudice against anime. Anime series or movies with a fair amount of realistic scenery of modern Japanese cities (starting from the '80s) like Tokyo or any other, with a remarkable romantic or nostalgic feeling, like those depicting cities centre, schools or distant suburbs with typical residential streets during particular moments of the year or of the day, like an autumn or cherry blossom scene, or even a beautiful sunset for example, with Japanese crows and black kites in the sky making singing their beautiful call, or a typical Japanese train passing along a road or a bridge, why not with the Fujiyama in the background. Anything providing a romantic and nostalgic feeling of Japanese cities is very welcome to this Interest Stack. Any anime which is popular not only for its story, visual art or characters but also particularly remarkable among both fans and anime critics for its unique and special soundtrack. Just as the title says, this will be an interest stack containing anime that someone has as their favorite anime of all time. This stack will be dependent ENTIRELY off of other people telling me what their favorite anime is, so if you don’t see your favorite anime here, just go and tell me what your favorite anime is via profile comment or private message and I’ll go and add it to this stack. If your favorite anime actually is in this stack, then still please be honest about what your favorite anime is. I'll also be mentioning users in the notes of the anime they claim are their favorite anime. I’ll begin this stack by adding 5 anime I definitely know are someone’s favorite anime. Collection of psychological anime that contain interesting themes and elements that make viewers think and inquire about the characters and the complexity of the plot. Anime with small, close characters that make up a tightly knitted cast. A group of friends, a small town, a collection of people and their relationships. A sense of camaraderie, a diorama of humans, a fun time to feel close to fun people. Denpa as a genre usually refers to Japanese artistic works with themes associated with social isolation, existentialism, insanity that stems from living modern society, and the glorification of otaku/outsider cultures. Examples of denpa in other mediums include the films of Hideaki Anno (Love and Pop, Ritual) and the films of Shunji Iwai (All About Lily Chou-Chou), as well as the visual novel Wonderful Everyday Down the Rabbit-hole. Anime featuring dysfunctional protagonists who shut ins/NEETs look up to, in other words, anime that feature "sigma" men and women. These characters can be seen as positive role models to a certain extent, given their resistance to social norms and pressures. Anime that seem to have researched the subject that they are handling. List of anime for "elitist". These anime have been considered as "deep" animations by various critics and analysts. |
