Supernatural The Animation

Both series are about a pair of brothers fighting against demons. The older brother Dean is more the action kind of guy, attack first, ask questions later, which is like Rin. Sam the younger brother is the more reserved thinking brother. Sam also is very smart and tends to use research and intelligence against enemies rather than brute strength like Dean (though they both kick some serious ass regardless). This is quite a bit like Yukio. In Supernatural one brother also shares a strong connection to demons and Lucifer (Satan) in particular (not going to give away which one). The other brother often tells his demonically inclined brother that he shouldn't use demon powers and that they'll corrupt him (sound familiar?). In particular there's actually a scene in episode 24 of Ao no Exorcist (spoilers if you haven't watched it all yet) where Yukio is possessed by Satan and when Rin comes to save him Satan starts beating the crap out of Rin but Rin refuses to harm Yukio and believes his younger brother has to be in there still and can hear him and overcome Satan. Though the Supernatural anime has yet to get that far in the story yet, in the original tv series of the same name there's a scene remarkably similar to this one in Ao no Exorcist. BTW Supernatural came first and is a big hit in Japan which actually lead to the anime series being made (a first of it's kind, an anime adaptation of an American live action tv series) so I've actually wondered a few times if they didn't base that scene on the scene from Supernatural. Anyways if you like series that follow brothers and deal with the supernatural then this is definitely one to try.  read more 

The theme of everlasting brotherhood: brothers that would willingly die for each other. Brings a tear to my manly eyes, it does. Two brothers - more emotional older; calmer, more rational younger duos - travel together in search of what they have lost, knowing full well the price of what they can never get back. The mothers of both duos died when they were young; the deaths acting as catalysts for the respective journeys that would follow. What is more, both sets of brothers have fathers that mysteriously vanished and play pivotal roles in what unfolds. But, in the beginning, the brothers are something akin to orphans united by their brotherly bond and determination. FMA is an alchemy fantasy adventure epic which involves lots of early episodic traveling. Supernatural is an episodic road-trip (think FFXV, minus the obvious fujoshi bait). FMA has lighthearted anime humour, whilst Supernatural is goes for gritty realism.  read more 

The style of inquiry and mystery is very much like supernatural in addition to being two people looking at imaginary issues  

Well animated, gritty, highly involved in the occult and on a larger scale. Worth a shot, but don't compare the anime to the tv series too much or you'll ruin it for yourself. 

Both have the same objective of killing demons or fantastic creatures. The drama and suspense is seen in both . The difference between them is that Berserk is set during medieval time and Supernatural is set in a modern time. Also, Supernatural is an adaptation of a series with the same name.  

There a sense of mystery involving supernatural cases in both Shinrei Tantei Yakumo and Supernatural the Animation. They both deal with strange events that happens that are abnormal and otherwordly. These cases are usually bizarre and requires special skills to deal with. Luckily, our main protagonists from both series are specialists who are able to deal with these cases. Both series' main male protagonists are experienced in what they do although there are times when they get caught off guard. These usually involves in cases where their partner/friend's life becomes in danger. There's also a sense of a bonding between both series' main protagonists as some cases brings them closer.  read more 

It Involves Demons, the Devil, And other creatures, they are all slaughtered by the Winchester Brother Sam and Dean. DMC Is About the same but with Dante 

Broship road trips. In Supernatural the 'bros' are actual brothers by blood and in Stardust Crusaders the cast also travel by air and sea, but eh: technicalities. The point is, both series are episodic and revolve around male bonding as they travel; with only the occasional 'guest' female character welcome. Fujoshi bait. Stardust Crusaders does not take itself very serious (to put it mildly), in contrast to Supernatural, but many of the episodes/arcs have a horror theme--seemingly paying homage to numerous live-action horror flicks. And Supernatural is best described as episodic horror; complete with unusual-for-anime truly black shadows. So, the content is similar in that sense. Maybe. read more 

-2 brothers who resolves supernaturals police puzzles. - One brother seem more fragile (Sam in SN, and Naoya in NHG) Same supernatural and combat ambiances. Supernatural is softest with humor and comics situation, than NHG who is more dramatic and serious ambiance. 

Both shows are episodic series about a duo that investigate various supernatural cases. Both also have an antagonist that gave one of the MC's special powers and continues to stalk them. 

In both anime group of people deals with supernatural phenomena and both consist of really captivating stories.
