In his laboratory, biotechnology expert Dr. Kochin gathers the dragon balls intending to free his master Dr. Uirou, a mad scientist hellbent on ruling the world, forever frozen in the never-melting ice of the Tsurumai-Tsuburi Mountains. Attempting to locate the dragon balls, Gohan Son and Oolong arrive at the scene and are ambushed by several creatures known as "Bio-Men." Training nearby, Piccolo attempts to save them but is then attacked by three mysterious warriors. When the ice beneath them breaks, it cuts their altercation short, burying Gohan and Oolong within.

After regaining consciousness, they return home to Kame House only to encounter Bio-Men, demanding Muten-Roushi to follow them. Refusing, he easily defeats the creatures, piquing Dr. Kochin's interest. Under the impression of Muten-Roushi being the strongest man in the world, Dr. Kochin takes Bulma hostage, forcing Roushi's agreement to accompany him in mysterious plans involving his master. Who are Dr. Kochin and Dr. Uirou? What even is their purpose?

This movie was better than the last movie. First off, the fights where more epic than the last, and they featured more characters in this one. What i really like is this pretty much the last time Master Roshi is seen fighting. This movie takes place somewhere between the Saiyan saga, and Frieza saga. Like all the DBZ movies, it contains plot inconsitencies. Like how piccolo is some how alive even though he was killed by Nappa. All and all this was a pretty good movie. What I really enjoyed was when Master Roshi, Krillin, and Goku used a Kamehameha wave all at the same read more

This film is your typical story of our main gang teaming up to fight evil and the outcome is predictable of course, but the film was still enjoyable. I really liked the pacing in particular. The dialogue doesn't go on for too long and the balance between the fight scenes and the slower scenes is just right to progress the story to where it needs to go. I tend to view the DBZ films as standalone films within the franchise because trying to make sense of them timeline wise kind of ruins how much I enjoy the films as a whole (because it doesn't make read more

On to the second movie. This is another adventure of Goku and his friends.

This time we have Dr.Kochin who is trying to revive his mad scientist of a master Dr.Uirou. They create Bio-men and they want to take over the earth with their mechanically engineered warriors and the robot could also infect Goku's friends to make them fight against him, uhhh yeah Goku just drops a Genki dama and wins.

The story is cool and the characters are pretty well interpreted, the story isn't super exciting but I would give it an 8.

The art is like the anime at that time, pretty good, 8/10

The opening is read more

I remember this being one of the better DBZ movies when I was a dumbass 14 year-old who liked the franchise, half a lifetime ago. I particularly recall enjoying the biomechanical monsters the Z warriors fought. Needless to write, nostalgia clouded my judgment.

As with any property related to DBZ, the plot is insipid. A mad scientist, Dr. Kochin, is able to easily gather all 7 Dragonballs before Goku and company even figure out what is going on. Some defenders of Earth they are! What is the point of even having a radar if they are going to ignore read more
