Akai Ito

Look at the two in a more abstract manner, Akai Ito and Laughing Moon feature shapes and lines which come together to create something of a dramatic or funny story. The interaction of different mediums of which provides a fluid and sound motion perfect for stories of their own kind. 

Both are very short, few minute long anime. Both experimental artsy anime. Both have two dominant colours (white and red in Akai Ito, white and black in Calligraffiti). Both have "simple" art. If you liked one, you might like the other one.
