Synopsis

We still have no idea what's really going on with this show, beyond the fact that the weirdness is piling up!

Curry-fiend Karasama remains oblivious to Tenma's crush, and Harima still hasn't confessed his true feelings to Tenma. But hey, the thug's got an excuse since he's caught up with his comic career and knee-deep in a blizzard of deadlines! Meanwhile, the love triangles are ever-shifting thanks to wannabe cupids and runaway brides.

Even when you throw in a bit of cyborg love, a shipwreck, and a fugitive red panda–seriously, that ain't even scratching the surface. You are encouraged to scratch the pig, though. He likes it! And something rumbles in the next to last episode, no matter what I say next.

School Rumble–The absolutely funniest show you’ll ever see that's not about anything that rumbles... Ever!

School Rumble Ni Gakki

In the beginning, I never expected this anime to win me over as a comedy. After it started with only a flabby 2 episodes and it took forever to get all the characters in. But they on, I was completely wrong. School Rumble is a fascinatingly simple mixture of "Light romance" average character drama" and "A full truckload of idiocy and lovable characters".

Add to that the delightful creativity of author Kobayashi Jin and the result is impressive. Certainly, it's not the best comedy I've seen, as the episodes did fluctuate and not all the characters were completely convincing. As a result, ...

This season has just as much energy if not more then the first one in the series. The writer loves to tease romance and other emotions and does an outstanding job making you feel all the emotions he wants to express. Another thing I really enjoy is the characters, almost every single character is written so well to the point they could take over the screen for entire episodes and be just as fun to watch as the main character and it just shows the talent that went into this.

One thing I really enjoyed figuring out is that the original author actually made the main ...

Mixed Feelings
Maintaining a high standard can be challenging once it has been established. This is demonstrated by 2nd Semester, which struggled to match the success of School Rumble's hilarious and originality.

2nd Semester falls short regarding plot progression. Only a few episodes move the story forward, and even these have little impact. Instead, the series feels like a collection of unconnected episodes, with only a few weak links between them. The primary relationships that appeared to be developing in the first season are only slightly teased in 2nd Semester without making any significant progress.

On the other hand, the animation is noticeably better. The cast encounters a ...
