Both are fast paced action-packed movies full of epic battles, with few romance, and plot twists. Both Haseo and Shirou share similar combat style (multiple creation of weapons).

Both anime's story is about a struggle to make a wish come true... Both shows the despair and consequences that came along from a simple wish

1. Both titles are based off of video game franchises 2. Both have plenty of sword and sorcery 3. Both have very good production value which can be seen in the action scenes 4. In order to fully appreciate, the source material should be played (in Fate's case at least watch the first animated series and do a little research on the visual novel)

Two game based anime movies, with awesome animation and lot of action where the fighting scenes are almost flawless. The details are pinpoint accurate, with a decent amount of blood&gore. Also it's helpfull if you played the game's or read a little something regarded to the games because it will maybe be a little hard to understand the story or to connect some characters with the main story.
