Both are set in the Victorian-era. Both have a human and a demon(/chain) bonded together by a contract.

Wel... where should I start? The relationship between Shinku and Jun (Rozen Maiden) and Ciel and Sebastian (Kuroshitsuji) are somehow similar, because they both have a master and slave relationship. Both series also present themselves as a dark anime, which they aren't except in the end. Both animes are filled with a lot of humor. The plots also don't match with their manga.

Very similar comedy/drama division in both.

Similarities-
Both have a figure in which protects the helpless protagonist.
Both figures that protect the helpless protagonist are voiced by the same person.
Contains 2 voice actors that voice for both Kuroshitsuji II and Gugure! Kokkuri-san. (As far as I know)

Differences-
Kuroshitsuji II does not share the same comedy in which is protrayed in Gugure! Kokkuri-san.
Although, both anime contain sort of the same supernatural situation, Kuroshitsuji II (contract with a hungry-azz demon) and Gugure! Kokkuri-san (summoning of a loner fox ghost), they do differ from theme and atmosphere, as well as drawing style.

1. Both series are tragic.

2. Both series have a lot of deceiving and mind screwing plot twists.

3. Both series involves bloodshed.

(Although Requiem for the Phantom has a more realistic feel while Kuroshitsuji II has a supernatural-fantasy feel.)

Note:

1. The first Kuroshitsuji is not a strong as the second one and is more focused on comedy. On the other hand, Kuroshitsuji II is darker, more serious, has more action, bloodshed and definitely more mind screwing plot twists. But still, you must see the first one before you could dive into the main course.
/> 2. The same thing goes for Requiem of the Phantom. It started out pretty slow, although it is good, it is not as good as the next time shift and it gets better as it shifts further into the future. read more

The atmosphere and setting are both the same although with Kuroshitsuji it's focused around a butler and the supernatural were Emma it's around a maide and a love story.

Another supernatural type show. I don't think Abel can be as good of a character as Sebastian, but still a really good show.

If you watched and loved Kuroshitsuji then you'll love D. Gray -Man. It has all the action. Probably even more than Kuroshitsuji!!! That's how good it is.

There are much more stronger similarities with Kuroshitsuji II than Kuroshitsuji because we can easily see a better comparisons (war among chevaliers / butlers):
Saya = Ciel
Haji = Sebastian

Diva = Alois
Diva's Chevaliers = Claude and the others Alois's servants
