it started from where it left. Good pickup as season 2

I don't think we gonna see much of core story line but this season we got more of boss monster fight . And its good too. Not boring but bit elongated

If you are bored of same adventure , isekai, romcom stuff. This is definitely for you. Its been best for these 3 episode hope it continues with same peace and interest

Also as season 2 it not downgraded. It started with curious case. And to be honest after big arc we need some side arc too. Hence this anime is better compared to other anime this season

When the 1st season was first released, I was instantly captivated with the gimmick and plot. The production was good, the animation was good, and it was basically a seasonal hidden gem. This also pulled me towards its manga in which I was very impressed with the artstyle and how it was panelled, while also appreciating the chaotic sequences and somehow edgy narrative of how the story unfolded.

Now when I watched this 2nd season, it felt like a downgrade on production. The audio was weird since some voicelines were inaudible or way too quiet, the music choices didn't match the vibe of how ... this arc progressed, and animation sort of felt robotic compared to the 1st season's more decent production (or maybe it's just me). It also doesn't help how this arc of the series wasn't that entertaining since it was also a long-dragged exposition in the manga, so I would also expect this anime's season to be dragged out as well.

To sum it up, I rated this a "5" (while the 1st season and manga "8") since the production work felt very downgraded while the sound design was off (first time I've experienced when watching an anime). It also doesn't help that the second season's plot coverage (assuming since I read this already) would be dragged out and it would be a pain to watch through all of that with the faulty/unhype production.

If you really have nothing to watch, this is still a good watch but do expect the mediocre production if you're sensitive with those kinds of details. The plot has a long exposition, but I promise you that the series has its quirks if it was animated better.
