Visually, the anime impresses with a polished art style. The backgrounds, character designs, and fluid animations ... complement the story’s tone, creating an immersive experience. Each frame feels carefully crafted to enhance the emotional weight of key moments.

The pacing might feel slow at times, but watching it all at once enhances the storytelling, allowing the quieter, more emotional beats to settle in. Every episode adds something meaningful, ensuring the journey is consistently engaging.

Simply put, this is good. The world, characters, and atmosphere work harmoniously to create a compelling fantasy adventure. If you’re looking for a story where magic and fate intertwine beautifully, Unnamed Memory is worth watching.

This anime kept the good animation and art, but it also kept many issues and created new ones with the radical plot twist.

If you already watched the first season, you know that the characters had a huge plot event on the last episode, so they aren't the same on the second season. Honestly, the fact that the characters literally aren't the same (it's like they created a different dimension by altering the past) didn't go well with me. It created a quite a few plot holes that can already be seen on the first 4 episodes of season 2.

If I have to point out why ... I rate it "mixed feelings" is because the plot made us lose connection with the characters and the story itself. Also, the fact that the story has such a fast pacing (we have situations presented and solved within 5 minutes) desensitizes the viewer and makes the story confusing because it omits a lot of important moments.

I will give a quick example of both the plot hole and the omission of important moments: Tinasha is kidnapped by thugs. The scene isn't present in the anime, just the mention of it. Now, how in the world would such a powerful character like her be kidnapped by simple human thugs? That's a plot hole. And if that was the case, that she really was outplayed by simple humans, wouldn't it be important to properly explain in the anime about how this came to happen? That's an important scene that was omitted.

In the end, I'm leaning more towards "Not recommended", but the animation and characters are really interesting, so I'll keep watching to see where this goes and then update this review when I'm done watching.

about as bad and poorly paced as season 1, a bit better maybe. They already ruined the entire series at this point theyre just beating a dead horse. Rip the mangaka lol, but I haven't seen a more laughable anime with this budget/studio in a bit, so it was pretty obviously gonna flop

Strong skip. Save your time. MC is insufferable then on a dime becomes affectionate. At least time they give a bad reason instead of none, but damn I genuinely think whoever was in charge of pacing genuinely just has never interacted with a human emotionally bc it still feels like I'm watching a ... shitty timelapse of a bunch of robots talking.
