Tasokare Hotel

Situated within an endless twilight, the Tasogare Hotel welcomes anyone stuck between life and death. Unaware of their fate, guests must regain lost memories through mementos hidden in their designated hotel room. Most guests pass on or return to the world of living within days, while few others find themselves staying at the hotel for much longer than usual.

Neko Tsukahara, a young woman with an expressionless face, finds herself at this hotel. As she is guided along by the staff, Neko regains enough of her memories to become invested in the plights of the other guests. Solving the guests' affairs and the mystery behind the hotel turns out to be too interesting of a situation to pass up; Neko decides that simply being a guest is not enough to satisfy her curiosity.

OH MY GAH !
I saw this on YouTube and clicked it by random. I was with my younger sister. The anime started, in less than a minute I started 'guessing' the plot, the characters, the guest rooms. The Hotel between Life and Death.

I was SO CONFUSED as to how I knew these things that I kind of freaked out a bit. I couldn't find any other anime except this. Until I realised it's from a game! And that's when it clicked, I had spent my adolescence playing the game in awe and excitement. I really liked the concept of 'between life and death', although I ... don't remember much about the story anymore (nor do I remember if I finished it), I do know that my young self really enjoyed it.

And so I will definitely give this anime adaptation a try. I'm looking forward to it :)

Mixed Feelings

Preliminary (5/12 eps)

How much I love mystery anime, and even more when they deal with themes like life, death (redemption, guilt, justice, etc.). This anime even seemed like Death Parade to me at first (although DP was much more emotional and direct to the viewer).

In Tasokare Hotel, the protagonists solve mysteries about the past lives of the people who arrive at that hotel, which is the representation of a place that is between life and death.

For those expecting a complex anime, no. This is not the case, at least until now (I have watched 5 chapters, it may develop differently from now on). It easy to ... see (i mean, you don't have to stop the show for wondering what the h3ll is happening).

It a calm anime; the characters aren't cringe (thank goodness) and it develops in a way of 1 mystery x 1 chapter. Above all, they add mysteries that drag throughout the entire anime and that in each chapter offer us a little more information about this.

Tasokare Hotel is the example that every game, whether console, PC or mobile, that has popularity should not have an Anime, not because the game is bad but because the plot and the concept of the game does not work visually, here we can see a mystery plot where we find our memories to get out of a type of limbo that has special rules, there we will see different cases that we will solve, a simple but well executed plot, but in the game, now that there is you, you will have to look for clues, solve puzzles or other mini games plus special ... events, on the other hand, with the anime you will only read the boring dialogue while the face focuses on the possible clue or they show it quickly to ring the bell, the scriptwriters should have been more subtle and made the mysteries more difficult to entertain the viewer more

One problem with the animation, the character designs are unique, the personalities are simple, many times the typical tsundere, the serious one, the unpredictable boss and the Eccentric view but they are not annoying since they are not exaggerated and the soundtrack is very good with those OP and ED x as I said the only problem is the script that does not know how to entertain the audience, it is better with the game
