Alright, confession time: I have a soft spot for those "forced relationships that turn into something special" tropes. So, fair warning—this review might be a bit biased. But let’s dive into it anyway! Also Why I love me som K Dramas

Plot and Characters:
The setup is classic rom-com: an uptight, organized girl and a laid-back, easygoing boy who can’t stand each other are suddenly forced into marriage by their grandparents. It’s a tale as old as time—or at least as old as anime clichés. The series explores how this unlikely duo navigates their new reality, dealing with ... their differences and slowly building something real.

The dynamic between the main characters is enjoyable. Their chemistry feels natural, and their progression from enemies to (hopefully) lovers is a journey worth watching. However, the supporting cast? Yawn. So far, they lack any unique personalities or development, which leaves a lot to be desired. Here’s hoping the writers give them some attention as the series progresses.

Animation and Music:
The art is standard fare—nothing groundbreaking, but it gets the job done. It won’t wow you, but it also won’t make you cringe. As for the music, it’s there. It exists. It doesn’t particularly enhance the experience, but it’s not a detractor either.

Final Thoughts:
This is a solid, maybe a but over played and not groundbreaking, rom-com. The chemistry between the leads carries the show, making it worth sticking around to see how their relationship evolves. The supporting cast needs some serious development to prevent the show from becoming too one-dimensional, but overall, it’s an enjoyable watch. If you’re a fan of romantic comedies and have a soft spot for arranged marriage scenarios, this one’s worth a look. I’ll be watching it to the end, and if it can iron out some of its issues, it might just be a hidden gem.

I'm Getting Married To A Girl I Hate In My Class...the title speaks for itself, another arranged marriage between two people who hate each other. Many people probably came into this expecting a lesser Nisekoi and that's...debatable. They definitely have similar beats to them, including the love triangle elements which will most definitely happen in this show, and not only that, but the main girl even has a similar tsundere personality.

plot:
Grandma and Grandpa blackmail their grandchildren into getting married to one another, and even force them to live in the same house together, and share the same bed. Along with the main duo, there is ... also the blonde gyaru friend and a cousin. Probably a few more to come too, because anime. Obviously not the most unique plot for a romcom but what is different is...

characters:
This is hands down my favorite part of this show so far, the characters are one dimensional taken to the extreme and I love it. Saito (main guy) is one of the rare instances where the protagonist isn't a shy nerdy kid, he has an actual personality and has witty banter with Akane (main girl). Akane's tsundere archetype is clearly supposed to be exaggerated, some may find it annoying, and admittedly it is at some points (like when they don't let the guy explain, and slap him) but it's just meant for laughs and I find the effort endearing. Even the two other girls I haven't hated yet. the blonde gyaru is a supportive friend (so far) and the cousin is not used for as much incest bait as I expected and has a charming quirk where she talks in third person for some reason. (yes, I like kuuderes, sue me.)

art and animation:
better than average, I guess. Art style reminds of a lot of other romcoms since most of them use basically the same character models and settings. While the animation isn't god-tier or anything, the fast paced comedy makes it so the characters are always moving so you never get bored. (or maybe I'm just easy to please)

score:
I don't do this for romcoms, it's always basically the same thing. Sometimes more goofier than others, but always a similar score.

Conclusion:
Is this the best romcom out there? hell no. Is it fun? hell yes. These types of anime are my guilty pleasures, just pure anime shenanigans taken to the extreme with some pretty likable characters and banter. Saito and Akane fight like real friends/lovers, it's cute. We'll see what happens once the love triangle/possible harem aspect ruins everything I just said, but for now at least it's a 7. It's a bingeworthy show, but I highly doubt it's going to win any awards.

A tsundere love story, a tale as old as anime piracy sites. For lots of people, tsundere isn't just an anime girl trope—it's THE anime girl trope. In case you've missed this kind of story for some reason, you're going to love this anime because the heroine is a very by-the-book, stereotypical tsundere. She even says, "It's not because I like you or anything," in the first episode.

Now, right off the bat, don't take this anime way too seriously. In fact, don't take this anime seriously at all. If logical or critical thinking ever pops into your head, slap it and tell it to fuck ... off, because using it while watching this will only make you feel annoyed by how ridiculous everything is.

Now, I’m pretty sure you’ve read the synopsis. They hate each other, although the anime depicts it more as tough love rather than genuine hatred. They were forced to get married by their respective grandpa and grandma, or else the MC was going to get pretty much "fucked" in every way possible. The stakes are high.

Now, this is the part where you should let all your logic depart from your cranium—don’t use it, because those two old greaseballs definitely didn’t. Long story short, they’re forced to live in the same house, and the anime follows their story from that point onward.

The character design is averagely good—nothing special, but it gets the job done. The heroine looks cute and attractive, or at the very least, desirable to a lot of people. The MC is still the typical bland-looking, black-haired guy—your standard anime protagonist. As for the overall animation, it won’t make you say “wowie” at every frame, but it does the job.

The same goes for the music—you can tell it was made for a rom-com show. The creators definitely didn’t aim for it to be unique or stand-out-ish. It’s just your average “I just dropped pink glitter on my score” anime song.

Now for the important part: characterization. If you happen to hate a romance show because the main heroine is unbearably annoying to the "well-mannered and compassionate" prince-on-a-white-stallion MC, worry not—because they're both FUCKING annoying. However, this anime is one of those rare cases where the MC is more annoying than the heroine.

The heroine in this anime, Akane, despite being a full-blown tsundere, is more of the verbal type rather than the physical type. Rather than beating the living shit out of the MC, she prefers yelling at him. Even when she does beat or hurt him, it's in very, very reasonable situations. And even if she's a tsundere, she's very understanding about the whole situation—for tsundere standards, of course. She's willing to discuss their differing perspectives and even accept the MC's demands from time to time. Dare I say, out of the entire cast, she's probably one of the least annoying characters, especially when you consider the dickhead MC and the two annoying, dirt-smelling, old greaseballs who forced marriage upon two younglings.

And, of course, there are other heroines in this anime—because why not? There's the soft and squishy kuudere with almost unconditional love for the MC, the "sweet" loving gyaru who definitely won't backstab anyone, and the devilish little sister. Do they matter? That depends on you.

You're either go, "Oh yeah, I'm definitely going to invest my time in this show," or, "Damn, I'm too old for this shit."

All in all, it's a decent show filled with common tropes. Turn off your brain while watching, and you'll probably get a few good laughs and some "awww" moments.
