This is a show that seems written for, and by, children.
The characters are one-dimensional, with each simply having one characteristic they're supposed to excel at, and that's their entire character, other than their blind loyalty for Ars.
Ars, the main character, continues his lackluster performance from season 1 where, despite the entire show being premised on him A) being a reincarnated adult and 2) having a unique ability to "appraise" people, neither of these characteristics is ever used properly and in fact in almost every episode they aren't used at all. Ars is less a MC and more an annoyingly naive walking camera so we

This is just going to be a rant, excuse me.
I can't stand shows in which the characters are illogical and stupid because of lazy writing and to progress the story. The supposedly smart characters are not actually smart either, they pull schemes out of their ass that somehow just work conveniently for the plot, even if it makes no sense when you think about it. It disrespects my slightly above average intelligence. The interaction between characters also feels forced. Most of the time it's over the top teenage sentimental BS. You know when the characters dramatize their irrational emotions then get some phony talk-no-jutsu by the MC? ... Jan 25, 2025
I really wanted to like this season, because without the Isekai angle this could've been a decent show, but the MC hasn't progressed at all and in the span of twenty four episodes he still has done nothing of note, and his one definable character trait is to be nice. One thing you have to keep reminding yourself while you watch this show is that Ars is actually a forty seven year old man, something you would quickly forget based on how he is portrayed throughout both these seasons, he is as bland a character as you can get, no common sense and whatever wisdom

I watched season one a while back. It was...fine, but painfully boring. Unfortunately this season is looking to be the same.
Ars might as well be a blank piece of paper. He has no worldview other than...just being a nice noble. That's it. We barely even hear about how his past life influences him as a person, nor are we likely to in the future episodes, given that he has yet to even develop a personality. When it comes to "Appraisal", I thought it'd be a no brainer that the show challenges Ars on his ability to identify people who're one-of-a-kind in terms of 'stats' but ... Dec 22, 2024
This is such a wonderful end to S2 of this anime. It cannot end any better than this. The way this anime planned everything out. The character development of Ars, Fam, Ruper and so many more that has been shown is all beautifully made.
Story wise this anime is one of if not the best of this year. Ars truly is a magnificent lord who treats his people the same as family and now he will become a new lord of the people he is going to govern. Even to those who died in the heat of battle, he made sure to handwrite a letter to ... Oct 14, 2024
Title: Tensei Kizoku and Kantei Skill de Nariagaru
Genre: Isekai, Fantasy, Strategy Studio: J.C. Staff Episodes: 12 (Season 2) Aired: Fall 2024 Tensei Kizoku and Kantei Skill de Nariagaru are back for a second season, and it came out fast! If you’re still buzzing from the first season, you’ll be thrilled to know that this continuation picks up right where it left off—no time skips, no filler, just straight back into the action (well, as much "action" as the MC's appraising abilities allow, anyway). Synopsis Refresher: The story follows a man who dies and gets reincarnated as a noble in a small, conflict-ridden country. The twist? Our protagonist doesn’t have the usual ... Dec 22, 2024
Reincarnated as an Aristocrat, Round 2 — This Isekai has evolved into something better, and I can finally say that this is quality Isekai...though with a set of quirks that still lags it down.
It's safe to say that since Spring of this year, novelist Mirajin A's Tensei Kizoku, Kantei Skill de Nariagaru a.k.a As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World, has actually a lot of things going for it that makes it a quality "Isekai reincarnation" story in the making, though it wasn't fully realized when it seems that the series is taking the split-cour treatment to have ... The only good thing I liked about the show was the soundtrack and that Lords theme with how it was represented to the viewers.
But Yeah, this show's pacing's pacing is so immaculately poor. That I put it in the class of "I am so bored that I put two videos side by side with the phone in hand" class Absolutely hideous character progression or pacing of any like. Appaling approach to tactics and writing. Stretching out events to enternity and beyond, of course it get a Season 3. ... Dec 24, 2024
This is a good, character-driven show that's nominally an "isekai" but doesn't really capitalize on the premise.
The Good: - The MC, Ars, is a likeable kid. He's got his special power, and he uses it to find extraordinary people and be extra nice to them so they'll join him, which they do. - His friends are interesting, especially as they relate to what he can see about them, and how they have room to grow. - The progression from minor noble to increasingly powerful noble is believable. It doesn't go too fast, and the wins feel earned. - We know what the goal is -- it's straightforward, but ... Dec 30, 2024
A second season that started off generating doubts but ended up consolidating itself as a decent isekai.
The isekai genre has been stagnant for years. Having this type of stories where they try to tell something beyond the harem in a fantasy world with a super powerful protagonist is always well received. This season was focused on a war arc, even though one would think that there would be many battles, it was not like that. It was an arc focused more on politics and the development of the links between a lord and his vassals. Consolidating the protagonist as a political force is the intention ... Feb 20, 2025
It was alright. Good for spending time.
MC is bland but at least he's not a jerk. FMC is bland as hell, her only purpose is to make mc happy. There's basically no chemistry, just her fawning over him. Also they're a child. So the romance doesn't count. But they got married anyway. i don't know. Side characters are okay-ish. I like couran & viscount. The MC's servants are bland. They only have 1 character trait. But although I cannot enjoy the character, I quite enjoy the story. It's pretty good at creating tensions & have quite a depth I wasn't expecting. I hoped that they use more war references like ... At the beginning of the season, I tried watching this series. Initially, I thought it was just another typical isekai series, but after watching 3 to 5 episodes, I was proven wrong. In my opinion, the story is quite light and suitable for watching without taking it too seriously. It perfectly reflects that this is a TV series where real-life issues don't need to be brought into the show. I highly recommend this anime! it's worth watching during holidays or in your spare time because the story is engaging.
Oh yes, especially the background music. The combination of the story and the music in each episode ... Mar 27, 2025
Personally, I loved it. It goes on the same way as all the other isekai: get reincarnated, get stronger (in this one, not literally), and become someone important in person, but somehow, it's also quite different. It's funny, It's cute and it's full of action. It makes you think, while you can also laugh or even cry. It has a lot of character growth, even in side characters. The ending for the season is great because it shows potential for continuation, but it also has a great finish, meaning if you watch it you won't be grumpy for the next season, because it also

If you have a mental torture column in every anime season with an isekai series like me, then this is the series you should not miss.
[Story] If you come to this series because it is about war instead of an isekai series, be prepared that it will be extremely disappointing, this series is not even in the military genre. The strategies in this series are given by strategists who are portrayed as excellent but it seems that it is only through the character's dialogue! The plans are extremely unreasonable but they are still forced to be reasonable through the way the author makes them come ... Dec 1, 2024
Pretty good for a low-budget isekai. This season feels slightly better than the first one, with more strategy talk. Some of the plans and stuff are interesting and a few scenes are moving.
I do wish they'd use the appraisal/kantei skill more but as far as a tactics anime this is alright. If you're into isekai that have less 'OP protag' stuff and more of regular humans fighting it out, this is pretty good. Animation is meh and kinda still due to the obvious low-budget. The fanservice is not enough to be a big distraction, but unfortunately not inexistent either. All in all this is like an ok ... |
