Boukyaku Battery (TV)

Animated by MAPPA both shows take place in a school environment around a character who was a prodigy in his sport but who has lost his memory, in both the aim is to recover that performance that he used to have while there was the conflict of whether he was going to recover his memory or not, in addition to that along the way they meet teams and characters that knew them before losing their memory questioning what would have happened to them if they had maintained their performance while their new friends and old friends create a new life and environment for the main character read more 

Okay, so Oblivion Battery doesn’t have time travel or anything, but after watching Link Click, I couldn’t help but feel the same kind of trust between the two main characters and the kind of special ability they have like its different but the vibes ykwim... There’s also some amnesia stuff in Oblivion Battery, which kinda feels time-related if you're looking for a connection in that aspect but honestly, the two shows just gave me the same vibes fr. (Ah and just fyi Link click is a donghua and oblivion battery is an anime) 

These two shows use well balanced silly comedy with serious moments. If you liked the Sakuragi gang in Slam Dunk I feel like there's some similar vibes to enjoy in Boukyaku Battery in terms of funny talk between the team players. Although, Kei Kaname initially played baseball before high school, he starts from the bottom because of a loss of all knowledge about it which is kind of similar to Hanamichi's start where he's physically strong but know nothing about basketball.  

For me the humor hits the same spots. In both the club activities work as a backdrop to comedy. The humor is based on their interaction and their very over the top reaction to each other.
