Overall Blue Lock season 2 was alright for me I was really looking forward to season 2 but it fail to give me that excitement that season 1 had I feel like season 2 was pretty rush it's should've have more episodes also the lack of movement from the characters really got annoying pretty much everytime they move around its just a still frame of them talking about the game play the most movement they got was when they are running but even that look bad also the story was rush real bad season 1 had much better animation also you can connect more with ...

Overall, Blue Lock Season 2 was a disappointment. Especially as a manga reader. While Season 1 still had it's moments and was good enough, Season 2 dropped the ball (ha) completely and was a whole slide show, thanks to the very bad schedule the studio had. While they were able to animate some moments beautifully, especially the whole last episode, the show mainly consisted of a lot of still-frames with VFX to make it look better than it is and CGI whenever they showed feet.
The U20 arc deserved an adaptation that's as good as the whole last episode, because it just is that good. It ...

This season just kinda feels like it's trying to teach me football (soccer) but it's just making it extra confusing I don't particularly understand the sport to begin with, i'm sure for someone who already watches, this will probably be no issue for them but for me it made it a bit difficult to fully understand what was going on 100% of the time and the animation feels like coloured in manga panels at times, up until the finale which is very hype though i'm not huge on the constant switching between 2D and CGI during all the crazy action sequences with the ball, I ...

I am torn.

This was an AMAZING arc tainted by animation (at least when they're actually playing soccer) that usually looked like shit

They spend like 9 of the 14 episodes on one game of soccer and yet it goes by so quick. It's a very entertaining game, even in its current form, to watch.

While some familiar favorites get screen time, I think my favorite character was one I was a little cold on in the first season. Rin stepped the hell up and became one of my favorite characters in the show. He's still... Rin, but his rivalry with Sae felt real here and the moments ...

I am, quite frankly, SO disappointed that the animation studio dropped the ball (no pun intended) so hard with this series. I adore season 1. I've read the manga. In my opinion, this show is up there with the greats of sports anime in terms of the character development, cool character designs, and general hype that it brings. But the drop in quality from season 1 to season 2 cannot be understated. With the exception of a scene right at the end of the season, this quality starts mediocre and flip flops between terrible and mediocre for the rest of this season.

This arc is great. ...

Disappointment with euphemisms

The second season was absolutely disappointing in terms of animation. Replacing animation with 3d is not always something dramatically negative, if you know how to use it, but when a title that took drawing and animation, despite the fact that you do not understand how the authors were able to create such a masterpiece animation, abruptly changes the quality vector into dialogues with static frames, without lint, and the dynamics turn into cheap motion dolls in 3d, then you start to think about the time spent.
Despite the bold disadvantages of animation, the second season was very pleased with the ...

Preliminary (9/14 eps)
what a waste, it's frustrating to see this without being able to do anything.

i don't think i need to describe the problem here, but i'm going to anyway.
we all know that a fanmade could do better, and it's easy to see that it's a mess. the editing is in powerpoint slide format, with colorful drawings on top compared to the manga but no real animation. what's weird is that the best animated moments are the slice-of-life moments. But then, every “epic” scene instantly pulls us out of the immersion. Even at the moment when Rin finds her goal of revenge against her brother ...

Preliminary (3/14 eps)
I am giving it a 6 for the moment because 3 episodes in, you could call it Slideshow Lock instead. Even the scenes that you would expect to be animated like Isagi hitting the flow state, and scoring the last goal was an image of him jumping toward the screen while glowing green. Shidou's spinning goal, all you saw was an image of his body position as the ball was going to the net. You would think that that would be an important scene to animate the entire kicking motioin.

Now, if by the end of the season, the match against the U-20 team is animated ...

Disappointing compared to the first season, but I still have enough nostalgia to rank it a 7 instead of a 6.

This isn’t Blue Lock, it’s PNG Lock. What’s with the animation? It was like watching a PowerPoint presentation with cool effects. Except, the effects are cool in a presentation, but not in an anime.

It was an enjoyable enough watch every week. In the rare moment it wasn’t a slideshow, I enjoyed laughing at those weird 3D animations of people’s feet kicking the ball.

When each new episode was released, each week my favourite game was looking at the animation and saying “surely it can’t ...
