Blue lock was one of my favorite anime series, Well atleast "was". Don't get me wrong the anime still is really good.
The atmosphere started of with this dark blue hue which got me excited for the future. At first I thought all the allegations were about to be wrong. Oh how sad I was when they couldn't even animate balls flying through the air correctly. Now don't get me wrong I still enjoy most of the characters and even if the animations is below "Meh", It sorta makes up for it with its cgi. The cgi isnt even that bad anymore, I find myself hyping

Your Feelings Categories Nov 21, 2024 What they did to my favorite manga is absolutely nuts. One of the main points of Blue Lock is getting into the Flow state, yet this adaptation is literally the opposite of flow. The animation makes me want to bleach my eyes. I could recreate the entire 14 episodes in PowerPoint using screenshots taken every 5 seconds, and it would literally own this garbage of anime. The pacing is also all over the place. While the manga has its own pacing issues, it’s quadbilliontrillionmillionbillion times better than this vomit of a product. The art style, which is so dynamic and energetic in the manga, feels lifeless ... Nov 1, 2024
Okay, after watching and completing this MS PowerPoint-sponsored soccer anime, I have concluded that if you've never watched the anime before, this animation (if I could call it that) seems pretty decent. However, as a veteran sports anime watcher, you will notice the lazy techniques the studio used to tell the story. The stills are the majority of the animation, with 80% PNG still imagery and 20% 'Actual' animation.
The 1st season had some problems already like the bad CGI animation that lacked fluidity, and looked unnatural, unfortunately for us, they recycled them in this season 2 if you pay attention. However, at least in the ... Dec 29, 2024
Honestly they've messed up the animation all season except for the last episode the story's still really fun I was just going to give it a 7/10 but that last episode is so good that I literally have it an 8/10 for just that one moment anything anime that can make you scream like the character is is pretty solid.
I will say that despite the fact that the animation made the pacing kind of clunky the actual story pacing was really good I'm so used to sports anime having these really long drawn out moments but the majority of the show felt like meaningful ... Oct 26, 2024
PLEASE pay your animators proper wages and give them the time they need to make good-looking scenes. The story is great as always and I love the Blue Lock manga but oh my god, can studios please pay their people more and let their animators do their jobs? Basically, an animator came forward and told everyone what he had to deal with while trying to work on the show until he eventually had to quit. He got hired for Season 2 -> Worked for minimum wage -> His entire team barely had any time to work on it -> After he finished his work the

A lot has been said about the animation of this season of Blue Lock, it shows all the signs of a show in production hell with an over reliance on graphics, stills and some very ugly and obvious CGI. These qualities alone are enough to take any wind out of the sails of the adaptation, it's difficult to take any of the stakes seriously when it feels like more like a slideshow than an animation, nothing that happens feels quite real. The visual style of the first season at times felt hit and miss, although this time it just feels a lot more garish and

I thought this season was fantastic I can't believe people are complaining so bad about the animation. Yeah the animation was t great in some parts but I'd still rather watch blue lock in any form than most other boring anime with ugly character designs that are so overhyped. I loved this season and the last episode was animated so well it was a masterpiece. The characters still looked amazing even if the soccer play was poorly animated. If you like the manga or the first season you should still watch it and not be off put by others opinions. It was my favorite anime

Let's discuss this anime in short, this anime is said to be disappointed by many people about the animation which they say is not intentional and instead becomes PowerPoint, but honestly because I watched this with subtitles so I didn't really pay attention to the animation, and I still enjoyed it even though this anime felt cringe in my eyes because the context of a football anime turned into a schizo anime like a monster and the wing effects etc. the conclusion is I still enjoyed watching this anime and want to know what happens next, but if you like anime about football you can

Anime Review: Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan (Season 2)
Rating: 6/10 – A Disappointing Mix of Lackluster Animation and Stale Excitement Alright, Blue Lock is back for a second season, and it’s like stepping into a football match only to realize you’re watching the pre-game warm-ups—it's a bit underwhelming, to say the least. The showdown between the Blue Lock team and U-20 Japan should be an epic clash of titans, but instead, it feels like a missed penalty kick. Let’s dive right into the animation—or should I say, the lack thereof? It’s reminiscent of something you’d see from an animation tab in PowerPoint! Seriously, it’s like they pulled ... Dec 30, 2024
Third selection looks shit af (first 3 ep iirc), if you're watching this for the first time and want to keep watching the anime, stop at the end of episode 3 and watch this fan animation instead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6ysp9lMN1Q
It feels like they started animating the last episodes (mostly last 2) before the first episodes. I really feel like they could've made this season so much better if they had enough time for it. The buildup to the arena felt surreal. Everyone had their moments and it was so hype but episode 8 is so confusing to me. But at least they ended it with the last ... Dec 16, 2024
i could ALMOST forgive the terrible pacing and lack of animation if the main character ever got to play the game, i just cant buy that at this point isagi should be the kind of character to be standing around with his dick in his hands all match. as a character at this moment he can only be described as frustrating, i cant imagine that any pay off we could get from all this hemming and hawing could possibly be worth it
i really dont think theres much more to say im struggling to even hit the word requirement its just a plain on its face ... Jan 7, 2025
I read manga of this, and story, plot, character design are on point, the only problem here is animation. The animation is so bad but still watchable, the first 6 episode are so bad after 6 to 10 episode it is still bad but it is still watchable and after 10 episode it is peak. and the 14th episode is the best thing I have ever seen the animation in the last was fire.
Now the main point should you watch this or not: the answer is yes, just because of some bad animation I don't think that you want to miss this great story. ... Dec 31, 2024
Let’s get the obvious out of the way: the animation for this season is absolute garbage for 90% of the show. There’s no getting around it, it’s bad. But putting that aside, this season of Blue Lock is the same as all the others. If you’re wanting an edgelord, Dragon Ball Z - esque battle shonen sports anime, this is still that. The animation is bad but the plot is still interesting, and at the end of the day that’s preferable to a garbage plot with good animation imo. The people who are acting like the entire story is ruined because of the animation are

Early viral reviews have led to Acolyte levels of blind hate towards Blue Lock, and it is definitely unwarranted.
The biggest gripe people have with the season is the animation on early episodes. Were they laughable and bad? Sort of? I didn’t really mind it that much because 1) these are low stakes, predicrable episodes. Why waste budget animating these scenes? 2) i honestly didn’t notice it that much, 3) a bunch of cool new characters were introduced which was more noticeable, and 4) I forgot all about that stuff when the U20 match started The anime score is slowly self-correcting itself, and I am glad people ... Nov 25, 2024
I dno.t know what the studio is doing , either there is huge budget issue going on for the studio, or the animators are lazy lazy as hell. The season 1 was a bang . Eye candy to be honest with you all
but season 2 so the U-20 arc is like watching a Power-point slide show . with primitive dialogue animation on the lips, my younger brother can emulate this scenario on Power-point if given a little training. even the manga it self has more animation panels in it than the ongoing mess that's coming out each Saturday. players running with their hands still ... well i dont really use myanime list and use Anilist but just for this case i wanted to do a review.
as a fan of the series , and an not relevantly new weeb , this IS the worst adaptation ive seen. worse than tokyo ghoul season 2 onwards AND the second season of the promissed neverland, Why? the show has already a perfect plot with good writing and awesome looking character model and scenes thanks to Kaneshiro Muneyuki and Nomura Yuusuke sensei BUT lets limit the budget , limit the time and transform one of the BEST arcs of the most popular sport series to one of ... Jan 10, 2025 Blue Lock Season 2 is here, and it’s just as wild as ever. As someone who watches a lot of football, let me say this upfront: it’s still not even close to realistic football. But honestly, that’s kind of the point. Blue Lock isn’t your typical sports anime about teamwork and heartwarming victories—it’s about ego, ambition, and doing whatever it takes to be the best. And that’s what makes it so different and fun to watch. The story this season is solid. The matches are intense, and the characters keep getting more interesting. The whole "survival of the fittest" vibe is still there, and it keeps ... Feb 4, 2025
It's quite disgusting how Blue Lock, the literal best-selling manga of 2023, bringing hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue, is yet unable to get the budget to animate the sequel to a highly successful, well animated season 1.
Despite a lot of glaring flaws, shounen logic, and a host to fast paced development, I still gave Blue Lock a generous 9/10. Because ultimately, the good points shone through that much. If season 2 had as much budget as season 1, that would have cemented Blue Lock as the best soccer show I've watched by a long shot. Yet, we got glorified slideshows? We can go ahead ... Dec 28, 2024
I was genuinely hesitant to watch this season of Blue Lock after seeing all the memes about the 'PPT animation.' However, I finally gave it a chance, and to my surprise, it turned out to be pretty decent. While the animation, especially the 3D segments and the leg shots, left a lot to be desired (the CGI in those scenes was downright awful), the story itself managed to shine through.
The animation quality was wildly inconsistent. Some scenes were visually stunning, while others had goofy CGI characters running around, which could be quite distracting. That said, if you’re able to overlook these moments and come to ... May 1, 2025

More like Blue Locked-in-Place, amiright? Because of the lack of animation, eh eh? In reality, it’s not too hard to get past that when the OST goes so hard, the energy is kinetic, and the match itself is pretty hype. It's a step down from season one (and a step up from the disappointing movie), but--as someone who has not read the manga--it is obvious the story, character, and moments are hype enough on their own. So while it could have been an explosive bombshell of hype with better animation, it still comes through fine enough, as long as you're not appalled at the ... |
