some are joining force with the hero for something else like defeating the demon lord.
if isn't all some stories are about joining into the demon army so... you get twist and turns in stories so you would not get bored apparently

(Some are technically time travel)

The anime in this stack are all comedy anime with a main cast that isn't just one gender; allowing for more diverse humour and comedic situations.

Romance anime with only 2 characters in the main cast won't be included.

There are a lot of isekai anime these days. Here are some recommendations to start with. I will not be including sequels as these could be found on the main anime page.

Here is how I define the terms used:

Transported:- Moved to a new world either as they were in their original world, or into a character they were using in a game.

Reincarnated:- MC was reborn as a new person but still has their memories from a previous life.

(?):- Unsure of how they got to the new world. The story does not make it clear or it is part of the main plot.

MC:- Main Character/ protagonist.

OP:- Over Powered.

So it was December 2022, and Youtube recommended me Mushoku Tensei anime recap thingy. Out of boredom, I decided to watch it and after like 15 minutes in, I realized... HOLD ON.. this is getting interesting and I like it a lot. Without a second thought, I immediately stop watching it and started to watch the anime instead.

Watching Mushoku Tensei reignited my interest in watching anime again after being on hiatus for 5-6 years. Of course, I missed out on a lot of hype and good shows during that time, but I am glad that I can binge anything I want now to compensate for it.

I created this stack to share my thoughts on the isekai genre and the shows that I've watched along the way. The shows are listed in the order that I watched them and then I divided them into 4 main categories:

1. Reincarnation (Tensei) - Pretty self explanatory, it's about people getting reborned in another world.
2. Video Game/RPG mechanics - It has RPG or video games elements such as levels, inventory, classes, game UI etc.
3. Hero Summoning - Summoned to another world with a specific purpose. The MCs are summoned to be heroes in the new world with a tasks like killing the demon lord or other major threat.
4. Transported - Very similar with Hero summoning. However, unlike hero summoning, The MCs are free to pursue their each own goals in the new world.

Can help you manage your stress/burnout from work, most enjoyable anime so far. (Based on my rating and opinion)

Chill relaxing shows featuring life in various fantasy worlds (game, isekai, etc.)

MC is usually powerful, meaning they rarely face a threat.

Action is infrequent and/or low stakes. Little to no drama.

No overarching goal, just enjoying life.

My Official True Isekai Anime Stack.

What Classified as an Isekai.

1. It requires a Transportation Method.
2. Must be a Physical world that the MC can live and survive
3. Doesn't involve alternative timeline and time traveling of the MCs Original World.
Transportation Method:
1. Replication
- Transfer the body and soul/consciousness into your new world after you die Ex. Konosuba and Drifters

2. Reincarnation
- After your death your soul/consciousness will be transferred into a new body, creature, thing or even a building

3. Summoning
- A person or Group of People enchant a magic stuff to transfer a person/group of people to their world. Via Portal or Magic Circle

4. Soul/Consciousness Integration
-The soul/consciousness after its original body died and now living in the another body with its other soul/consciousness.
Then integrated into one soul/consciousness that both remember its past life and his current life. Ex. Serei Gensouki

5. Gate Way/Door Way
Building that appears out of nowhere that bridge two worlds. Ex. GATE

6. Teleportation
Machine that teleports you to that world one way or another. Often its a one way trip. Ex. Sentouin, Hakenshimasu

7. Kidnapping
A person or Whole area got transported to another world without any explanation. Ex. Overlord, Re:Zero

These are all Isekai Themed Animes. I will only add 1 Season per Series so the stack can shorten and see How many Isekai are out there.
