Synopsis

Right as he is about to earn a promotion, a salaryman meets an untimely demise. Taking pity, a mysterious being grants him a second life in the land of Galdardia as a teenager. Choosing the name Luciel for himself and a role as a healer, the young man sets off for the nearby town of Merratoni. There, he learns that healers are a coveted resource, yet they often take advantage of others for monetary gain. Vowing to be different from other healers, he joins the local branch of the Healers' Guild and begins unlocking his magical potential.

After failing to save someone with his magic, Luciel is determined to get stronger. To improve his physical strength and hone his magic skills, he registers as an adventurer and takes rigorous training under Brod, the chief instructor of the Adventurers' Guild. Soon, Luciel gradually finds his way through Galdardia, gaining a reputation as a selfless healer who aids others regardless of expense.

Definitely not for everyone, but I think it's one of the funniest isekai out there. If you're just here to watch people kill monsters then avoid this anime, but if you want a lighthearted show with good character training (which is basically everything this anime is about) then this is a great anime for you.

Story wise, the series barely mentions anything but the world is surprisingly pretty deep. The plot, though.... is 5% action, 95% training. But this is one of the better training anime, we can see how he's slowly but surely improving his stat and skill.

as for the graphic, you watched isekai. You ...

Mixed Feelings
I enjoyed the underlying power systems in this show; the MC's slow, methodical grind in acquiring skills, power, and gear scratches that particular isekai itch for me. The world-building is decent and there is satisfaction in watching him grow stronger and more knowledgeable.

The problem is the show constantly undercuts itself by unrelenting making the MC the butt of every supposed joke. He's manipulated, mocked, laughed at, exploited, beaten, and isolated by the people who supposedly care for him. Its like he's trapped in a manipulative, emotionally (and sometimes physically) abusive relationship with the entire world and every person he meets. Basically it's like he's ...

Slow burn with lots and lots and lots of training sequences before he gets strong. No ecchi. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea.

The biggest point of the anime is for you to sympathize with his hard working attitude. I don't hate that concept but I also don't particularly love watching the character training for more than half of the series.

Love the concept of greedy healers though. As well as the adventurer vs healer. Wish they fleshed that out more.

All in all, not bad. But not enough for me to continue to season 2 or to recommend to others.
