Kaiko sareta Ankoku Heishi (30-dai) no Slow na Second Life

For more than 30 years, Dariel has been a loyal soldier in the Demon King's army, having been raised by Granbarza, one of the Four Heavenly Generals. However, as Dariel lacks any magical potential, he is nothing but a disgrace in the eyes of Granbarza's son, Bashbarza, who fires Dariel right after assuming his father's position as a general.

Stripped of a home and a job, Dariel wanders the forests, where he stumbles upon a human girl named Malika running from a monster. After Dariel intervenes to help Malika, she invites him to stay at her village in return. There, he discovers that the reason he has zero suitability for magic as a demon is that he is, in fact, a human.

However, Dariel is no ordinary human. Possessing potential that far outweighs even heroes, Dariel may soon find himself involved in the humans and demons' seemingly never-ending conflict, facing against the race he once considered allies.

I rate this 6.9. It wasn't bad, but i don't feel it deserve to be rated 7+. For similar genres i feel 7+ is when the plot and execution is good. While i feel the execution of this anime is pretty good, the plot is a bit stale.

Personally, i consider anime similar to this to the isekai/trash anime category, which i don't mean in a bad way. I quite enjoy these kind of anime. You know anime that could be without any real plots, OP MC, chill, etc.

For this anime i appreciate that it's not overly cringey. Many anime of this category tend to be ... overly cringey. While there are some cringiness, i would say it's very minimal.

When it comes to the animation, there's nothing to complain. Anime of this category can have wacky animations sometimes. But didn't noticed anything that was annoying or disturbing during the whole watch.

As for recommendation, I would say this is good if you like isekai/trash anime like me and want to watch something chill. Also i feel timing of when you watch it could matter -- i feel you would appreciate this more if you don't have anything to watch and don't what to watch.

If the above does not apply to you, i would not recommend this. As the plot can be pretty stale. As for other quirks like OP MC cheat power, comedy, etc that can still make you enjoy an anime despite weak plot, i would say that factor is somewhat weak here.

Mixed Feelings

If you're looking for a loving-caring MC without disgusting polygamy harem type of shit, this anime is for you! I highly recommend you to watch

It doesn't countain something special, the plot is just like ordinary fantasy anime, but it's still a good show to killing sometime. I give it 7/10 for the MC who focus on one heroine even though there's Yuusha (hero) and a few people who are looking on him.

(A little spoiler)

One thing i don't like is the ending, it's not kicking in my heart because no one is die. If someone die or at least seriously injured, maybe the villain can ... learn how precious his previous life is. It's just fighting with talking-no-jutsu and everything is happy ending. You may find it boring

✍️ My Personal Opinion ✍️
In this review, I’m going to give very general examples that actually carry meaning within the story. Those who’ve watched the anime will understand; others might consider it a spoiler.

Here’s a short summary of the plot:
Imagine two kingdoms waged war for years and years, and then the war ended because the hero kissed the great evil villain on the cheek. In that moment, the villain’s heart softened, and he decided to make the hero his role model and best friend.

Does that sound weird? Believe me, that’s basically what this anime is like, lol. The story is so flimsy, even weaker than ... the example I made up in 30 seconds. I’m not trying to be too critical, but I honestly feel like I wasted my time watching this anime... Even though my example doesn’t reflect the plot literally, you’ll completely understand what I mean once you watch it.

It feels like someone opened a C.Ai app, started a conversation with the “evil boss,” and tried to promote world peace.

That’s all I’ll say. If you get it—great. If not, come back and read my comment again after watching, and you’ll know exactly what I meant.

✅ Who I Recommend This Anime To ✅
Anyone looking for a simple story.
Someone who wants a very chill anime.
Not much effort went into the animation or fight scenes, and there’s no complex power system.
If you’re unsure what to watch or have already finished your entire watchlist, and you just want to spread world peace—this anime is for you.

🚨 Who I Don’t Recommend This Anime To 🚨
Basically, the opposite of the people I recommended it to above.
Also, if you watch anime frequently, you’ll feel this one is incredibly repetitive.
If you dislike slow-paced shows or ones that never answer basic story questions, stay away.
There are side characters who show up for a few episodes and then vanish completely from the plot.
It’s a very simple anime—don’t raise your expectations.

✍️ Final Thoughts ✍️
This anime is weak from a writing perspective.
The lines will put you to sleep, like: “I was bitten once, so I don’t like reptiles.”
The art is subpar, the fights are cold and dull, and the ending is mediocre.
The only good thing about the anime? Malika! I want one Malika in my life.
If I were being unfair, I’d give the anime 10/10 just for her… but sadly, the show only deserves a 6/10.

If you have anything else on your watchlist, go watch that instead. Only watch this if you’ve run out of every other option.
