Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai

Junta Shiraishi is a high school student with one simple goal—to enjoy his youth. However, achieving this goal is not so straightforward since Shiraishi is effectively invisible to his peers; even his teachers routinely fail to notice his presence. In fact, there is a rumor circulating that whoever manages to spot him will receive good luck.

But there is one person who notices Shiraishi's presence without fail. Seated right next to him, Nagisa Kubo is determined not to let him quietly fade into the background. Unfortunately for him, this means that Shiraishi finds himself in some peculiar situations, all orchestrated by Kubo. Despite this, Kubo's playful antics might just be the catalyst needed to spark the thrilling youth that Shiraishi longs for.

This is a guilty pleasure show, where you are looking for a romantic slice-of-life to see in the mellowest setting possible. Nothing crazy happens in the show, which very much mirrors the goal... this show is entirely carried by Kubo for 100% of the run time. As a character, her endlessly pleasant attitude elevates the show, and all other characters, out of literal doldrums.

Is there a greater point: absolutely not. Sometimes having a nice time in the moment is all you need. Think of Kubo as a reminder of the people who care about you and are willing to support you, ... no matter how you feel. Be well!

Mixed Feelings

This anime is kind of just above average. Nothing about this show does is bad, however none of it is really good, just above average.

So now this will be an op and ed review instead because mal won't let me publish this without a minimum word requirement but they don't specify

OP:
The first 10 seconds of this op gives me Clannad op vibes, and it's ok, Clannad ops are pretty outdated in terms of quality and flow.(except the last 20 seconds of after story's op the flow is incredible) The opening is very subtle, the vocals and the instrumental, and it's pretty good. My main ... issue is that the the chorus and the thing leading up to it, is way different than the first 10 seconds of the opening. It's much more outdated and 2000's and 2010's vibe compared to the actual chorus which sounds much more modern. The first 10 seconds has a much different flow, instrumental and it sounds much stronger. In the end it sounds pretty good the vocals are good, the flow is pretty decent, however the first 10 seconds are just feels way too disconnected from the rest of the op.

First things right off the bat, The vocals changing from person to person is pretty good, and the balance with the instruments and the vocals is good but inconsistent. The first few seconds and vocals feels too overpowered by the instrumental because of the softness of the vocals however it gets much better once they change the vocals to someone else. They then switch the flow up into something different, the flow is great and fits with the previous part, however they switch the flow up again into a build up. They then switch the flow up again, this in my opinion is how you switch the flow up completely to a new flow well. Something in between to make it feel natural. An example of this is U by Kendrick Lamar. Bad transitions are transitions that change into a new style, flow, with new actual build up and just do it out of random, a good example of a song that does this is "Idol "by Yoasobi/The Oshi No Ko opening. The part after the build up is great it slows down the beat and the changing vocals happen a lot, however it done very feel where it feels like the vocals and instrumental synergizes really well. The background vocals also add a lot, while not making the song worse

This is one of the most slow-burn romance anime ever!

We got Seiyuu with an angelic voice, so I decided to watch this anime.
Although I bought Kubo-san Manga vol.1 and watched all episodes because of its reputation, it is not as good as you expect.

We got deadpan, dense with no personality MC. He has a supernatural power that can erase his presence, to the point that even normal people cannot see him even though he stands in front of them. I know that his presence or his atmosphere is so thin, which makes him nonexistent sometimes. I mean, what in the world that would ... happen? Does this have a reason or any logical arguments behind this I am willing to learn it. This gap itself makes no sense. It makes MC nonexistent and he is literally NONEXISTENT. MC is just an everyman-type character who can be replaced by anyone. What is the point of having MC if he has disappeared or not doesn't affect the whole story? He rarely expresses his emotions, feelings, and thoughts. Each time he talks, I grab my phone and play games instead because his voice and his line make me want to sleep. It keeps uninteresting. The plot wants you to be unnoticed, so MC has to be like that? There is no contrast at all!

-This anime is typically "a loner who gets to know the prettiest girl in the school" plot.
-We have Kubo, a cute and beautiful, who is good at sports and education. She is just another "perfect and famous" girl who loves to prank MC, which is meh.
-You have a loner and the cutest heroine. It has a scene where MC can show his cool side. They have done many activities together and it seems like only the heroine is trying. Their relationship has no progress at all. Even their chemistry is forced and questionable.
-OP and ED are good.
-Character design is bland.

what seems to be good is it doesn't have a WET DREAM scene like Bokuyaba, Tonari Tenshi, or Sono Bisque which is good. If it has, I'm gonna cry and beg you to stop because it's cringe and unnecessary to show it to us.

If this anime is a food, then it would be a bland and flavorless dish that I refuse to eat again.
