The two male MCs are playboys, can't create a romantic atmosphere, but the girls love him very much. There is also a very sweet kiss scene, maybe you like it

Episodic fight between superhumans and some kinds of mysterious monsters, which is not Mecha, presented by the powerhouse like MAPPA, Madhouse, A-1 Pictures, Studio Trigger and CloverWorks.

It's hard not to believe that this anime original is heavily inspired by Magical Index. Both protagonists have almost copy-pasted personality and background, plus both worlds revolve around magic and technology, where religion clashes with politics. However, I personally enjoy Index's plot and world building a lot more (which kinda makes sense, this anime has 3 seasons + tons of spinoffs), while the animation quality and action scenes in Engage Kiss are a lot better. It feels like both series begin on the same starting point but each one heads towards a different direction, so enjoying or disliking one of the two doesn't imply that  read more

While plot wise they're not similar, they're both A1 Pictures anime originals that have great fight scenes and hinging between slice of life rom com and serious action with a really dark plot underneath.

Similar in terms of setting; both have their main focus on artificial cities that are afloat out in the pacific but still technically under Japanese jurisdiction. Also, the events surrounding those cities are predominantly supernatural. In Strike the Blood's case vampires, and for Engage Kiss demons. From that, the main character's powers are relied upon to keep the city's peace.

While both shows aren't of the same genre, they both have an interesting love triangle involving a dark haired main character, a pink haired girl who ain't human, and a blue haired girl who the main character has known for years. Not to mention that both are anime originals produced by A-1 Pictures.

both protagonist are officially two timing his gorgeous girlfriends... besides the two timing there's more girls... I mean almost four timing.

A seemingly-utopian society plagued by a darker, hidden truth. Both anime have a plot writing that is more show, not tell. You pick up on bits of the plot throughout the episode writings and learn more and more about the bigger picture. I think Engage Kiss suffers from slightly tropey characters whereas 86 does not, but they definitely deal with similar themes.

The same character situation, where the MC is partnered with a much younger but super powered girl and is in a relationship with a cute Osanajimi who can kickass.

Happy Sugar life doesn't have magic or fighting but both Kisara and Satou look alomost identical and are both yanderes that will do anything in order to protect the ones they love.

Both male main characters kisses their female ally in order to power them up and to fight for them!

In both animes, the girls, the main characters, activate their fighting powers by kissing a guy who is important to them. Couples in both animes risk their health to save their towns from criminals. Both animes have magical moments, but they are not too fabulous.

Both shows are set on a megafloat island city that is autonomus. Both shows have good action where the characters are fighting against fatalities in Tokyo 24th ward and against demons in Engage Kiss. Good quality action animation in both as Tokyo 24th ward are made by Clowerworks and Engage kiss by A-1 Pictures.

Male leads given name is Shuu, they have almost the same haircuts and share similar character traits. They have female companions with pink hair and supernatural abilities. Together they take on missions and fight against the evil. Good animation, polished visuals and beautiful sound. Does this seem familiar to you? After watching just the first episode you'll realise how eerily similar these series are to one another. Chances are that if you enjoyed one, you'll definitely feel right at home with the other.

Kakumeiki Valvrave and Engage Kiss center their stories and combat mechanics on the Power at a Price trope. Haruto (Valvrave) is pushed into this situation, but accepts the price for altruistic reasons. Shuu (Kiss Engage) sought out this situation to pursue his revenge at all cost. How much will they sacrifice to pursue their goals.
