Both series are lightly comedic romances (with harem elements) in which a fairly ordinary college student is suddenly visited by a beautiful yamato nadeshiko type woman who becomes his romantic partner.

The same story about a boy, who accidently met up with a girl through some weird process except in "Ah! My Goddess, the person got a girl through a phone call.

Both about how a young guys life changes as an unexpected angel comes into his life

Same funny story about a guy who gets visited by a women..same slightly sexual humor as well. The only difference is that in ah my goddess the women are goddesses but in onegai they're aliens.

Very similar set up, Hot girl appears, she has magically powers, they start living with each other. Later other magical girls appear. They have adventures and battle. While the main character (a simple man) and the magical girl have a funny relationship etc.
report Recommended by Neferium
Both are pretty sad stories, elements in commor are, for example, a love between a human boy and an angel girl. Both are pretty sad but also enjoyable.
report Recommended by Galatea
Both are about a boy and a female who is a holy being as they slowly fall in love and the ups and downs they face along the way
report Recommended by ladyluvlace
They're both harem with incredibly beautiful girls. Both guys are loserish guys who get a hold of their love interests in interesting ways. Ah! My Goddess has less of a plot than Chobits but both are great fun.
report Recommended by Phill-z
One is shojo romance other is shonen but I felt the same watching both. I mean the sensation of platonic love with both sides being afraid of confessions and making first move. These are not dynamic love stories with sudden changes of heart and quarrels but slowpaced natural development of close relationship.
report Recommended by Rychulubicz
Both have the male lead surrounded by beautiful girls who want to be with him. Both try to fight to help the female characters. Male characters are alike in all aspects. The only thing is separate is goddesses and extraterrestrials.
report Recommended by spineslayer
Both animes involve people from separate worlds how fall in love with each other. They face trials that can either strengthen their relationship or break it apart.

Both series have a comedy driven plot starting off with a goddess telling the protagonist they can carry out a single wish. The protagonists then decide to ask the Goddess to stay with them, leaving her in disbelief. Once the goddess joins the protagonist their power is reduced significantly forcing the goddess to adapt to her new environment. However, whilst in Aa! Megami-sama! the protagonist continuous to live in the same world and the Goddess is please to stay by his side. In contrast in Kono Subarashi the protagonist is taken to an alternate fantasy universe and the goddess considers the protagonist a useless otaku  read more

Both feature sweet, caring females in the lead. They are laid-back, with occasional moments of sxcitement, but generally are relaxing (sorta) slice-of-life animes.

These two anime are pretty similar. If you watch the two, I'm sure you'll make the connection. For starters, they both somehow involve demons and goddesses and are both romantic.

I both anime there is one boy surrounded by many girls in the same house. both main boys in these series are really unfortunate most of the time, but they make it up with speaking from the heart. both anime are focusing a lot on comedy with a hint of romance. if you like one of these you'll surely like the other too. :)

strong god x not-god romance, deity shenanigans in the background, god vs demon/ghost dynamics

Angelic females taking interest in a very plane and boring character. The main difference of the two is that one is more childish while the other holds a mature tone. There is obvious plot differences but for the most part the concepts the same. A Man falls in love with a angel.
report Recommended by Shaja
Both have powerful beings. One serves a single individual. The others are created by an organzation for dark purposes. Gungrave has great action. Ah My goddess doesn't.

Both of these animes are similiar in a point that parts of them are polar opposites Main Characters Ga!?-Main Character is Rude But Has incredible Good luck Aa!-Main Character is Nice But has incredible Bad Luck Goddesses Ga!?-Goddess of Misfortune(technically a poverty god) Aa!-Goddess of Fortune(well something of that nature) Aa! is more focused on its romance though while Ga!? is just a Hilarious anime full of Comedy and Tons of references to other multiple anime.

A DAILY LIVE OF COLLEGE STUDENT Romcom anime with college student as MC. Yes, if you look at main story there are big different theme in both anime : - Aa! Megami-sama! focus on Goddess-Human relantionshp - Golden time is normal romance anime But if you look from different perspective, GT & AMS share many similarity Similar Character : Female MC (Kouko & Belldandy) really love the male MC (Banri & Keiichi) They’re doing everything to make male MC happy, even if it means sacrifice their feelings Same for Male MC, even they look useless, both have high confidence when it comes to Female MC problems. Similar story : Focus story on how they balance  read more

The female lead can use magic, it has a lot of funny scenes, the female lead touches many people hearts, it is very clear that the protagonists love each other and overall they have a similar feel to them.

In both stories, you have some kind of magical spirits/deities/goddesses hanging around the main protagonist. Both stories give off harem like vibes or cliches with the thought that there will be a love triangle. When in the end it ends up showing up as solely being a romance series with humorous supernatural shenanigans. Mamotte Shugogetten! does not follow as clear on its story I guess unless you plan to read the 11 volume manga series instead of watching the anime adaptation. Ah! My Goddess! is better in comparison to Mamotte Shugogetten!. So take Mamotte Shugogetten! as the bargain bin version of Ah! My Goddess! Mamotte  read more

Both definitely fit the mold of the modern Magical/Mysterious Girl formula created by Urusei Yatsura years ago. Both feature mysterious otherworldly women who come to Earth on a mission and end up falling in love with all the consequences that it entails for their lives and lovers. I think many fans of Hanato Kobato or the Goddess Belldandy will likely find the other appealing, I heartily recommend either to fans of SoL, Romance, or Magical Girl Animes, both also contain elements of Supernatural/Divine drama as well.
report Recommended by MKSTEEL
Both series have a girl with otherworldly abilities coming into the life of a luckless male protagonist, and subsequently turns these mild-mannered fellows otherwise hum-drum lives upside down. In both, the female protagonists regularly have otherworldly friends and rivals show up to cause havoc in their and their new significant others' lives with zany hi-jinx. Another shared dynamic is the poignant moments the couples share, even amidst the chaotic adventures both shows offer sincere sentiment and show these characters have strong commitment and affection for each other, even with all the madcap insanity.
report Recommended by MKSTEEL
Both are a perfect mix of slice of life and supernatural hi-jinx, with well defined & likeable characters brought to life with beautiful and clean animation designs . Both are slower paced slice of life comedies, with the chief difference being Ah! My Goddess leans more into romance, where Flying Witch is more comedic drama.
report Recommended by MKSTEEL
Both shows fit the Magical Girlfriend genre with both mortal protagonists receiving a romantic surprise in the form of an immortal being who falls into their life almost by accident. Both shows have large ensemble casts with lots of interesting personalities and pulse with loads of slapstick humour and magical hijinx. Both are heartwarming stories of unconventional family units forming when the human world overlaps with the supernatural and have lots of poignant & tender moments between the leads.
report Recommended by MKSTEEL
Same creator. Same vibes. Both have the same type of light and warm comedy. Megami-sama is more oriented on romance comedy but there's also some in You're under arrest. Also both shows have similar art and loveable characters. Except the magic setting and police setting they both give a really similar feeling.

A Angel (One Room) and a Goddess (Ah! Megami-sama) comes to the "normal world" and starts to live with the protag. Ah! Megami sama has a university ambience and One Room a High School one. The Angel/Goddess and the protag, in both works, get to know each other and starts to live together. The Angel/Goddess get to know the human world, bonding with the protag.

Both shows have a similar story and made around the same time and many of the character remind me of wedding peach

Both animes contain godesses and both of them have Romantic Element

The main characters are both loser guys who love bikes who meet beautiful, naive girls who are not from earth. The art style, the kinds of jokes used, and many of the characters are similar. Both main characters also seem to have the same problem with being able to confess their feelings and progress their relationships even though half of the female cast is in love with him.
report Recommended by Orimos
Similarities + Both have girls appearing out of nowhere and living with the guy. + Both girls are not human (video girl and goddess) + Both protagonists had an unrequited love. + Both protagonists are considered cowards. Dissimilarities: - In Vidoe Girl Ai the girl is super noisy but in Aa! Megami-sama she's very quiet. - Video Girl Ai is Ecchi and has nudity but Aa! Megami-sama is pure.

Both mc get a goddess to take care of them and the pace of the anime are very similar. Both anime are very relaxing to watch.
report Recommended by RobAma
Ah! My Goddess isn't anywhere near as ecchi as Girl's Bravo, but the stories are remarkably similar. The main character is a guy, whose kind of a loser, meets a beautiful magical girl, they start living together, and slowly fall in love. Also, for some reason at the beginning of the series it just starts out with the main character and one girl, but as the series continues the number of girls on the show continues to increase. Both animes are packed with romance, laughter, and a little bit of sex.
report Recommended by middleground4471
The main male character has nothing but bad luck. The upside is he is surounded by beautiful girls. Hey who doesn't like some unwanted distruction in there lives

Both AMG and Aria are upbeat slice of life anime that have a very positive outlook and while AMG is a bit more action oriented than the extremely laid back Aria, they are both very sentimental series that never fail to bring a smile to my face.
report Recommended by jacobpaige
Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo focuses on the balance of the town where the story has its setting. Ah my goddes focuses on the happiness of Keiichi (the protagonist). However, both anime have simmilar, if not exactly like, protagonists in them. These two anime also share a equal form of passion and feelings between the characters and their surroundings.
report Recommended by ragonzul
There are both very in depth romantic comedies. The main character's (Keiichi and Aono) both meet these women by mistake. Although Ah! My Goddess tends more towards the romance aspect, while Rosario+Vampire is more for a comedic ecchi genre, they are both awesome romantic comedies that I suggest fans of the genre watch.

It took a whole for me to come up with the recommendation mostly because I was looking at it from the wrong angle. How "A!MG" and "Inari" (for short) compare well with each other is the interaction of gods with humans. Not just everyday interacts but also falling in love with each other. I won't put any spoilers here because that's what makes "Inari" fun to watch ("A!MG" is a very well known series). In both series, the humans do get a taste of some of the powers of being a god, go to the plane where the gods live and even get  read more

Both are saccharine romance shows with a humorous instinct that is squarely in the late 90s of anime and manga. Both feature incredibly wholesome and cute romantic relationships, male protagonists that are all-around good people, and female protagonists who have an otherworldly charm. Both are worth watching, but could easily put off people who don't like cheesy romance shows.
report Recommended by Bdiah
Hard to explain why they're similar. The stories are quite different. "Ah! Megami-Sama" is a fantasy 'harem' anime, where beautiful Goddesses (literally) clash into a guy's life, making an amusing chaos out of it. While "I my me! Strawberry-Eggs" is an, also lighthearted, school series about a man who has to fake being a woman to become a teacher and pay the rent. But I thought the 'feeling' of the anime were so similar...that you probably couldn't like one, and dislike the other. Watch a couple of episodes, and you'll probably understand.

Both have incredibly similar structures. Both are stuck with their girls, AMG by choice, Midori no Hibi not by choice. Both have a secondary female character who initially doesn't like them but then does. Both have a very similar sense of humor and plot.
report Recommended by Phill-z
Sudden girlfriend, both are from different worlds and there are many similar situations in the plot.

Also a nice Story about Life and Staff just Watch but just for Kids ^^ olny :D

Both are comedies with a bit of harem. Both share the same kind of norse legends. While in Ah!my godess, the main girl is Godess Belldandy, in Matantei Loki Ragnarok, the main guy is the God Loki.
report Recommended by Orulyon
Though the relationships are certainly different in the animes, they have a very similar premise. A low-spirited guy has a girl enter his life that brings him happiness.
report Recommended by Defiance
Both are pretty cheery and warm comedy shows with a sort of 60's-sitcom feeling to them.

The similarities are: Both involves a muchacho (male lead) having a realtionship with a hevenly being - even if it's a diety . Both involves a couple of additional hevenly beings living with the muchacho and giving the poor chico some cabeza del dolor (headaches) along the way. Both has one member of the household (if you can call it that way) whom the muchacho wouldn't wanna mess with. What's the diffrences: The muchacho in AMG is a college student, while in HN the muchahco is still in high school. One is a full anime with a season 2, while the other is a 4 min omake. HN is a pure slap  read more

Both these series contain the "goddess" theme, becoming one of the major themes. There is envy, jealousy, and later love present in both series as the episodes progresses. Both series contain supernatural elements as well as mixed in comedy and misunderstandings. Also, expect drama and the "little sister" annoyance that are present who tries to help the main protagonist through his problems. (namely involving love)

They are very similar. Viper GTS is basically the hentai version of Ah! MY Goddess. Girl appears to guy, guy makes a wish, and girl ends up living at his house.

Umm.. After watching Ai yori Aoshi ~Enishi~ Miyuki Somehow, it get a feeling like Ah! My Goddess. ^^ Ai Yori Aoshi Enishi X-mas Special, Somewhere along the lines.. “If I could spend Christmas with someone this cute..” and.. “But if we could stay together like this forever..” Ah! My Goddess, Famous quote: "I wish for a goddess like you to stay by my side forever".

Both invovle non-human girl and human boy trying to live together. There is school invovled in both of them. Ah! my goddess invovles goddesses being around the main character as DearS has aliens around the main character.
