Yi Nian Yong Heng: Chuan Cheng Pian

after the 1st episode I couldn't find any episodes with English subtitles and that has to be why this is getting low ratings, it is better than the 1 season and I loved the 1st season, once you find the episodes with the subs(i found on myanimelive) it is a blast, they killed it in the art department again and more animation and hype. this is by far the best 2d donghua if not top 3.

story 9/10
for cultivation 2d donghuas this is my favorite story by far, it's not complicated (in a frustrating way) but is complex enough to keep you thinking and ... paying attention. only 12 ep right now but so far, I can't wait for the rest of season

art 10/10
every scene is unique with incredible art, they do an incredible job of atmosphere and presence to each scene that really make you want to pack your bags and move to China. I wish I could stream it in higher definition because that is the only thing that takes away from the art.

animation 9/10
again the lack of high-definition streaming of episodes I have to cut back on the score because it can really take away from the animation sometimes but overall, the animation is great in this season so far, in my opinion better than the 1st. it may not be demon slayer/fate level but is on par with the top anime's on mal, and with the development of 2D donghua and growing scene of donghua outside of China I imagine future seasons will have animation never seen before.

overall 10/10
with how underrated 2d donghua is in the west; this gem is well worth the 10/10 and in my humble opinion is the best 2d donghua right now, things could change but as of writing this no others compare!

One of the best if not the best chinese anime. I was afraid Bai Xiao Chun would be a lot different from season 1 because I really like his funny light but serious character, but he's still the same in a much mature way despite the dark events he went and must pass through.
I don't think it will fade that much. It can also pretty much go on as I've seen there's a lot of source material still available. 50 episodes of 15 min per season is also satisfying to know. I don't have much to say except you can't go wrong with this season ... if you liked the first

This is truly excellent! But it's unwatchable without proper subs.....
I'm up to episode 23 of season 2 and you can find proper subs till episode 22. The lack of subs after that make this impossible!
I'll wait it out.
