With teamwork being a theme of Getter Robo , and needing one another for beating the evil villains , and with alt forms both shows are pretty much a must watch 

Another Tokusatsu series being made in animation form , Ultraman USA is a alt universe Ultra show , that you do not need any past viewings of the Ultra series , also Kamen Rider did a Ultraman crossover that one time

Watching Fuuto Tantei this season has reminded me so much of Tiger & Bunny. For one, the MCs for both are very similar; There are some obvious parallels between Kotetsu & Shoutarou and Phillip & Barnaby. The MCs in both anime are a team, and the costumes are similar - both have that Mecha/Sci-Fi/Superhero type feel to them. Overall though, I think the characters in each anime are very similar, even the side ones.  

Both shows are anime adaptations of the iconic tokusatsu franchises. Moreover, when Gridman became a hit, many people expected Kamen Rider to be the next one. Both anime are also brimming with fanservice for fans of the original series, including music, signature clichés, and lore references. The main difference is that while Tantei directly continues the original show, Gridman does it more subtly, more willing to experiment with the overall ideas of his franchise.
