Let's be clear. Both anime is about laugh. Kanosuba maybe more in pure comedy, shadow has some battles but it is still hilarious not pretending for very annoyingly dramatic plot

Shadow is pretty blatantly inspired by Zero, both being high school students who don't stand out much, but in reality are leaders of powerful criminal organizations that are trying to save the world, using a black outfit with a cape in an attempt to hide their identity, as well as having an unconditional group of followers who'll do anything they ask.

Theme is reincarnation. MC is born with high specs and work towards a goal of destroying certain entities while recruiting a harem full of baddies to fight for his cause.

Both anime are parody (isekai/ superhero) Both anime have OP main characters Both protagonists are seen as weak by everyone (mob character, background character) Both protagonists are trying to have fun despite finding everything boring.

Overpowered Hero? Check Reincarnated to a rich family as an infant? Check Hero obsessed with not standing out? Check Hidden Identity as a hero in black cape/costume? Check Transitions to magic school in the capitol where he repeatedly encounters royalty? Check. Fake enemy conspiracy that just coincidentally happens to be real? Check Team of supporters that take him way too seriously and drag him into situations because of it? Check Jitsu wa Ore, Saikyou deshita? is pretty much Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! lite.

Very similar in nature, if you have strong feelings about one you will probably feel the same for the other

- Both have protagonists that are ridiculously OP - Both have magic involved - Both protagonists share their magic with their followers, allowing them to earn respect and build empires. - Both have some comedic moments (at least I think so) Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken is a fantastic anime and yes, ML is overpowered, but he is pretty humble too. This show also has 2 seasons (but if you count season 2 part 2 as a third season, then 3) and a movie!

Cid and Tatsuya are overpowered protagonists that hide their secret identities and talent while attending school. Outwardly acting like an average, low-achieving student as a cover for their other identities. In reality, Cid is a true edgelord, and this series lets the audience in on the joke to make the most of it. Tatsuya, on the other hand, is a stoic and analytical soldier able to use magic for mass killing and large-scale destruction. Consider this recommendation for more overpowered characters with magic powers.

The Eminence in Shadow is a recent isekai that surprised me. It definitely sits at the top of the genre with the other three mentioned.

The protagonist gets isekaied. Despite being totally op, the protag have an obsession to act as an npc, and will actively try to not stand out.

Both are about a guy who tries to act like a background character but in reality they are better than the elite.

Ragna Crimson isn´t type of anime, which i usually watching, but i think, when you enjoy anime like this or other anime with OP mc, fantasy world, action, gore,...so i believe ,,Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni naritakute!" (or ,,Eminence in Shadow") will be anime for you!

Batman in another world. While "Ninja Batman" involves time travel and the Caped Crusader himself, "The Eminence in Shadow" features a protagonist who can fit the bill of a Batman fanboy being isekai'd to another world and lives out his Dark Knight fantasies.

The Eminence in Shadow reminds me of The Devil Is A Part Timer a lot with the Isekai aspect and the fantasy aspects too. The dub is funny and 99 percent of all the jokes go well same with The Eminence in Shadow. I feel like both of these animes match like a puzzle piece in the best way possible.

They say I will become the kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute! Same way they say Mahou Shoujo Site on MSS, give it a watch 10/10 experience fr on god

Edgy black haired character gets transported into isekai world, his party is full of hot 10/10 waifus who will do everything for him, he has a cool black sword and is really fast. Thats almost all the similarities but kage no jitsu is actually self aware and its "MC never breaks character" gimmick is really fucking funny. I think that if you were into isekai around the 2010s, kage no jitsu will bring back this nostalgia to you, with a good production and hilarious MC.

Both MCs are super chuuni (chuunibyou). They love being weird and extra for fun. Both MCs love having dark personas, which I always find hilarious. Both protagonists are seen as weak by everyone Both shows know what they're doing. Dont take it too seriously. Inou Battle is an anime by Studio Trigger. Its a slice-of-life harem, and its super underrated! Go check it out.

The Wisdom of the Shadows and the Wisdom of the Empire are basically the same thing but with a different premise.

Sometimes you discover an anime that is so ridiculous, so unaware (or self-aware) making it is so bad that it is entertaining. Cross Ange and The Eminence in Shadow give out this energy and people love them for it. These shows are perfect examples of everything that is wrong with anime, but can be recommended to people who can enjoy this experience.

Akame ga Kill! and The Eminence in Shadow are fantasy series featuring an evil cadre controlling society and a hidden organization fighting them. There is a debate among viewers about whether The Eminence in Shadow is a parody or deconstruction of power fantasies in isekai anime because its main character is an isekai edgelord whose actions accidentally create a hidden organization where he can realize his dream of being a hidden power for the greater good. His personality and actions are completely dedicated to this task, but he is also completely oblivious to his situation. Akame ga Kill! is one of the most popular fantasy  read more

similar core concept of rebirth as overpowered protagonist

There's much thing similar in both anime like the main character, how they evolved in every problem, and how do they keep their big secret while playing a big role in the plot

The MC in Eminence in the Shadow is trying his best to be a sidecharacter, he is also very very OP and the biggest no Simp, just like in Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki.

The main characters are both op and both are fun to watch especially the fight scenes

Similarties: -MC is overpowered -He wants to keep low profile -contains some comedy but to my taste it's better Diffrences: -its story is better built -Kagenou cares about money too
