Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei

The first part of this review is just going to be an explanation as to why I gave this show the score I did. The second part is gonna be a rant as to why it's a bad show and what should change (A lot of spoilers). Last part is gonna be a summary for those who want to skim through this.

Story 6/10
Don't you just love a cliche run of the mil Isekai show where the main is op and has a harem, cause I do. I love Isekai whether it be a masterpiece like Overlord or a dumpster fire like The Master of Ragnarok, ... I think that they all are special. This show has some of the most cliche writing ever. Man is sent to another world, gets harem and has to defeat random enemy (Most of the time demon lord). But just like every other Isekai there is a twist. So, what is this twist you might ask? That is a very good question and despite me watching every episode I can come down to one. It's a cringy comedy that tries to be serious sometimes. Imagine if Konosuba had a genuine serious moment that was supposed to make you feel something, now imagine it having random characters that are boring (with a few exceptions). That is a summary of the story.

Art 3/10
OH MY GOD DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE ART. Remember when I said that it was a cringy show trying to be a serious show, well the art helps my case. It looks so bad, not ex-arm bad but you get the idea, a lot of the "serious" moments could have been a lot better if the animation could get me to take it seriously. It's like if a 6 year old came up to me with a picture of a frowny face and expected me to cry.

Sound 4/10
I don't pay much attention to sound but what I do pay attention to is the openings and endings. (You can just skip them, so you can skip this part). Opening was one of the worst ones I have ever seen in my life. No key information about the story just a bunch of flashes of the main heroine and the other main heroine, then at the very end of the opening two random fight scenes against people introduced at the end of the show. The ending is something I really don't care about much because it really isn't something that creators care about. It was still bad but I guess I care less about it.

Characters ): 4/10 (Slight spoilers)
Isekais always know how to legally plagiarize when it comes to characters. I mean the main character isn't even that interesting. Main heroine is, how do I put this, a literal monkey. So this man fell in love with a monkey. Second main heroine a.k.a Altria a.k.a pointless isn't even really needed in the story. They could've saved three or four episodes if they didn't have her which could've made the story a lot more interesting considering the ending, but more on the later. We also have a donkey, a warrior/valkyrie, and a catgirl assassin. The most interesting characters were probably the catgirl and the valkyrie since they actually have something that relates to politics. The stupidest character has to be Altria. We spent three or four episodes on her just for her to become a girl in the MC's harem. They could've spent those episodes trying to focus on the main problem at hand, or even using it to do some world building. Not saying she's the only pointless one, every single character is pointless, even the MC, (except the classmates I guess) I'm just saying that I found some of them interesting. The characters only contribute to the shows cringy comedy aspect instead of focusing on something that we might find interesting. Then we have the side characters which are a very sad excuse of comedy. You can tell that the creator thought that the side characters were funny and unique. In the end though they were very special, mentally that is.

Enjoyment 7/10
At the end of the day nothing else matters except for our enjoyment. Despite it being a cringy show with all its flaws, I still enjoyed it. I could have been so much better but in the end, we got what we got and there is no changing it. I do not recommend this show unless you are a higher form of being, such as myself, who can fully grasp the complexity and intelligence put into the art form that is known as Isekai. Honestly though, if I watched this show without the weekly break, I probably wouldn't be able to finish it.

THE RANT (Heavy spoilers, but you're not gonna watch anyway)
Alright now that were done with all the vegetables, we can finally get down to the meat and potatoes. So first off, what was that introduction. God comes over the intercom saying I'm gonna transfer you to another world so pair up. MC is getting bullied randomly as this is happening. Keep in mind this is only the first 2 minutes of the show, so I feel no empathy or sympathy for this man. It would have been so much cooler if they showed his daily life and show why he was getting bullied (besides being fat). Second what's the deal with him falling in love with a monkey who then becomes a women. Would have been a better choice to introduce her as an adventurer who saves him from the monkeys. You might be thinking, "What about the random sheep that's there for 5 minutes and never shows up again," and to that I say, what sheep. Third, GET RID OF ALTRIA she is so pointless. We literally spend a whole episode with her running around trying to figure out she's in love. WHYYYY though. That precious time could be spent on something like world building or information gathering. Last key problem, WHY DID YOU WAIT TILL THE VERY END TO ADRESS THE PROBLEM. It took twelve episodes for this man to finally go see his friends and hopefully save them. Oh wait, no it didn't cause the interaction didn't happen yet. At the very end of the story when he can finally meet his classmates and we can have an explanation as to what may be going on, the show ends. This show will probably never get a second season cause of how stupid this show is.

Summarize this all up don't watch the show, or do, I really don't care but just keep in mind that this is another Isekai. Average story, bad art, bad sound, annoying characters. Still, I enjoyed it, so I gave it a six. Still kinda hoping for a second season (Spoiler) cause I love seeing Isekais with a school in them.

(This is my first review, sorry if it's bad)

Isekais are like a dime a dozen these days. They truly are, and in most cases, you may either be tired of them, or just hope it's an interesting enough show, to be passable and enjoyable, so that you're not wasting your time, and eye rolling at it all. Most things just have to click in place for it all to work. Which is something that this show can do, but it also can not do at the same time.

I've seen the top reviewer so far at this stage as I am writing this, say it gives the vibe of Arifureta. When that couldn't be ... more further than the truth. Arifureta tried to paint a tragic and sad backstory, and made the MC look like some edgy cringe teenage get powerful. While this. This feels more on the Konosuba vibes. While of course not being as good, but it's no where near Arifureta in terms of it's presentation. While Arifureta tries to be hardcore, and falls on death ears. Shinka is just complete randomness from start to finish. A show that you're not supposed to take seriously it seems, compared to a show like Arifureta, which they were trying to make you take it seriously.

The only connection the two shows have, is that the whole class got Isekai'd, and that is pretty much it when it comes to anything they have in common. The story is very weird, and will more than likely go in all sorts of directions as we go along for it's wild ride.

It's also reflected in it's art style and sound. Along with it's animation. Being purposely over the top balls to the wall crazy at times. Instead of just being plain and dull, like certain usual Isekais that come in each and every season. The whole thing all together just screams that instead of watching a normal Isekai, of which it seems the MC's classmates are on, you're watching/focusing on the odd one out, who is out there, and meeting and encountering the most random things possible. A better comparison, would be to say it's a toned down Sentouin, Hakenshimasu! If anything.

It's also reflected in the characters. Even if they do fall under very generic tropes, and there are cases that too much random can be bad, and it does come across in their mind of trying too hard. But they're pretty OK as characters go. But it's just. Really incredible that we now have a Gorilla waifu of all things. I think that's just hilarous if anyting. Looks like Jimmyhere finally has a waifu.

This show will be a hit or miss, it really will. But the randomness of it, might catch your eyes, like it has done me.Give it a shot, and see for yourself if you will like it or not.

First time ive decided to write a review because everyone obviously missed the point.
TL;DR Its a great silly light hearted parody of the overmilked genre, people expecting it to be a serious isekai with lore missing the point lead to bad reviews.

So to the actual review:
The fruit of evolution is your generic isekai about a bullied student that gets isekaid with all his classmates to another world. Except only he teleported far far away from civilization. Our MC is optimistic, kind, OP and dense. The whole story is dumb but thats the beauty of it. Its a parody making fun of anime clichés and the ... overall culture including basically everything you could ever expect and maybe even more. Anyone comparing it to arifureta has missed the whole point of the show. Youve got parodies like Konosuba with a deeper story and then u got parodies where the only purpose is the absurdity of it.

And thats Fruit of Evolution for you. Light hearted show that makes fun of every element of "isekai OP MC", it doesnt take itself seriously with plenty of your typical characters its making fun of oversexualized animes while not being actually "disturtbingly perverse" (im looking at you Redo of Healer). Sometimes breaking a 4th wall it will give you plenty of laughs while keeping you somehow interested with the story pacing.

While the animation is not so great its really not that bad either. I mean after Arifuretas 3D it takes a lot to hate on graphics Its not great but watchable.

Overall its a great parody of all the basic stories weve seen so if you are looking for an action filled fantasy harem parody you should definitely give it a go. Its not as good as Konosuba or Combatants will be dispatched! but its definitely worth the watch. If you are looking for your OP MC Isekai with a deeper story or even a complex world and lore this show is not for you and you will be one of the others that are in the reviews hating there.

Dude, screw these people man this show is clearly not meant to have any depth in storyline or even character development that makes you attached to them. It's a fucking anime, an Isekai, a fantasy themed story. Please don't ask for a realistic story FFS... You can literally just enjoy the show by having low expectations and ... enjoying how chill and relaxing the story is.
The show is not so much of a intense magic/isekai show, but a lighthearted show. It entertains me, and that's all that matters. There also isn't any characters in the show that makes you want to strangle them if given the chance. What more do you want?

The Plot is good, but the execution is horrible. Animation is bad, VAs are bad, the characters are horrible, your typical super nice, op, dumb and naive mc, the other characters are pretty bad too. Overall the show is pretty bad, the source material wasn't the best to start with but i believe the anime managed to make it even worse. There can be some funny skits but you get at most 2 per episode. Wouldn't recommend unless you're only looking for the plot.

The plot is your generic isekai plot, where the mc gets extremely powerful right of the bat. He then starts to make ... his harem of girls and for some reason they idolize him immediately. I feel like this show could've worked out if they went at it differently. If they took out all the cringy and "funny" parts and made the encounters a bit more natural and in general better and if they gave it a higher budget i think it could've been pretty good.

The main reason I don't like this anime is because of the characters and their VAs. The mc is as previously mentoined naive, unnaturally nice, stupid and ridiculously op. I'm a big fan of op mcs but the way this anime does it is horrible, one second he's on a godly level the next second he is weak. To top it all of the VA is horrible, it sounds like he is in the middle of puberty and he often has voice cracks. At least in the manga the art was a bit good, although nothing special it was good. There were a lot of moments where i thought the animation would turn up a notch but all I was left with was utter disapointment.

The main girl Saria, was really powerful in the first episode or so, but as soon as they got out of the forest she became useless. She went from Saitama to Sakura.

The next girl we're introduced to is introduced as this super powerful adventurer, but when we see her fight she is weak.

The animation is bad, it's just straight up bad. The only times the animation is a bit decent is during the funny skits, but that's ruined by the mcs horrible VA and the multiple voice cracks. The funny bits are also ruined by the horribly annoying music on top, it's like they took an already fast song from a 64 bit game and made it even faster.

For some it may not be immediately obvious, but this is a parody of the isekai genre. All of the tropes you commonly see are dialed up to 11.Every time something SUPER CRAZY happens, it's met with gaping mouth shock cuts. It is intentionally absurd.
Seiichi getting skills for doing nothing is making fun of how isekai protagonists always seem to get busted skills right as they need them.
His power scaling from pipsqueak to world's strongest in a day is making fun of typical power fantasy.
The way devoted animals keep turning into hot girls is a jab at how isekai protagonists have women sometimes literally falling ... into their lap.
I've half a mind to believe the fight scenes are intentionally underwhelming just to really drive home that the series is a joke.

None the less, when I see a cut to Seiichi's gaping mouth shock reaction face, I still can't help but grin at how dumb it is. It still manages to entertain. You need to be high on 8 levels of irony, but it does get the job done. If you're looking for a good show, look elsewhere. If you're a fan of isekai and you could go for a sensible chuckle, there are worse timesinks than Shinka no Mi

I won't lie, this anime is pretty trashy. It's a typical ecchi harem isekai, but man, it made me laugh a lot. It's bad but in a good way. A lot of the developments are so dumb that they make my brain hurt. The show is very self aware and knows that it's trash but makes the most out of it; pretty much just about every moment of the show is excellent meme material. Overall it wouldn't win any awards but as long as you keep an open mind and don't take it too seriously (or actually, don't take it seriously at all), it's a ... nice enjoyable little guilty pleasure comedy that isn't a complete waste of time unlike a lot of other trashy isekai.

just wanna say like.. i love this show's attitude about polyamory that mostly comes up in episode 6. sets it apart from other op af mc stupid isekai. i also laughed a lot. 9 is probably overrating the show but it made me happy.

i'm really kinda excited to see what they did with the next season because it's hard for him to get more insanely op than he already is in ep 12, but i guess he has to go fix things for the rest of the class.

idk, i fell off this by accident while it was running, and knowing a new season ... was on, i rewatched the half season i'd seen and powered through to the end in 2 nights. i kept asking myself why i stopped watching, it's a pretty fun show. the art isn't great/standout but it works. the ed is a banger animated with a lot of gaming refs, op is ok too.

So with total honesty if you want to watch an isekai like this you might as well go and watch Arifureta as this seems like the more watered down version.

With that out of the way, this anime was not the best but it also could have been much worse. Basically like most isekai anime, the main character is well... isekai'd obviously as well as the rest of his class. After being isekai'd he becomes insanely powerful and like I said basically follows the plot of Arifureta from there on. If you like some waifus without much character development then definitely watch Shinka no Mi.

Now ... onto the bad parts. Basically there is no real plot that is followed and this series is just a bunch of random events one after another. If you don't like plot then definitely watch this. When going into this though don't expect any character development or any real good comedy as the only laughable thing is the story. So basically if you don't like a well written anime then definitely go and watch this.

Though I mainly just gave bad parts of this you can at least go in and find a potential waifu though they are pretty disappoint.

Hopefully this review was helpful and hopefully if you do go and watch Shinka no Mi, you aren't too disappointed while watching.

Not well done. Not at all. Characters... meh. The animation, terrible(much like my grammar). The plot, unique, but lame. First couple episodes were okay- first episode was actually GOOD, but then it got so much worse.

The main character is so annoying and lame, like bro. It feels like some terrible author came up with him. Like the author/writer of the anime didn't even try.

I won't say the original is bad or the author isn't talented as I've not read the original but the anime... no.

If you're really bored, I guess you MIGHT be able to watch it, barely, but yeah. Not my favorite ... anime, that's for sure.

This is the probably the most ridiculous and stupid show I've ever watched. Don't expect any story because the one thing that should have a major story driver, the MC reuniting with his classmates, seems to have been saved for season 2. The MC is so ridiculously OP that absolutely nothing can touch him. I don't personally have a problem with OP characters, but Seiichi's skills literally leave him unable to be harmed even if he tried to let someone harm him. He also forms a harem that's basically a zoo since half of the girls are animals (and a cat girl) that ... magically turned human. Everything about this anime seems it was intentionally designed to be as idiotic as possible, and I suppose it accomplished that goal. That's really all to say about this anime. However, despite how stupid and ridiculous this anime is, it's somehow still pretty enjoyable to watch. So, go watch this anime if you're willing to turn your brain off and indulge yourself in some idiotic fun!

This anime was alright, albeit it steeps heavily on the comedy side. The MC basically follows the trope of OP MCs in anime, so if that's your forte then you can be rest assured that it's fine. This also being a harem anime might hit your knockers if that's what you're into as well. This is a pretty average show, it's okay story-wise and might get a 2nd season. Honestly, I kind of hope so since the show does leave more unsaid for the sake of developing the main characters and story.

That said, I look forward to the show's continuation in hopes that it'll be ... worth it. Gonna hold out hope that it'll get better with time.

Yet another foray into the Isekai genre. I swear I've seen like 15 isekai trailers this year alone. I know they're desperate for content, but yikes.

This one looked promising, cutesy characters (Kana Hanazawa AKA Nogi Sonoko's actress), interesting premise of "least popular kid in school becomes best hero", and overall looked fun.

What I saw instead was a Saturday morning kids' cartoon, except clearly aimed at teenage boys considering some of the fanservice and harem flags. Instead of telling a thought-provoking story we have events happening because Plot and all kinds of silly shortcuts like some rando at school teleporting everyone to another world because Reasons. ... I mean, I get it, "It's anime, you just go with it", but 6 episodes in and I was sick of it. It felt as though I were playing a game where I just dumped a few thousand bucks into it and it automatically gave me all skills and the best gear in seconds. This expectation of "instant upgrade" is one of the turn-offs of nearly all gacha games and other "free to play" stuff for me.

In fact it felt like a really cheap copy of the first arc of SAO: aside from the aforementioned "you're going to this fantasy world and you may not refuse" (which is seriously abused in nearly every isekai and I really wish they'd move on to something better), the "instant upgrade" of the first 2 episodes was like abbreviating Kirito's grinding.

So I mentioned "kids' cartoon"... I've watched anime aimed at young kids that didn't make me feel insulted to watch like this show, similar to the way some old American cartoons are cringeworthy. I haven't read the source material so I can't say anything about that, but the anime adaptation feels like something got rushed or dumbed down, possibly to save money, possibly a hamfisted attempt to broaden the audience, possibly producer/director shenanigans. In any case, I stopped at 6 episodes to ensure I have some working brain cells left.

I wanted to give it a 5, but considering the type of anime it is, I would say it might as well be a 6. As a WN reader I really expected more out of this anime.

It is very clear how bad Shinka no Mi is. The story is basically a cliche "you thought he was useless but actually he is f*cking op" isekai. The art is consistently.... meme-my? The voice acting didn't feel special, but the scripts are all weird anyway so I don't really see how they can make it better. Characters don't really have much depth as well. There's basically nothing about ... this anime that would stop you from rating it a 1-5.

However, it becomes clear after the first couple episodes that Shinka no Mi is created as a meme anime. The plot is filled with tons of jokes and bs coincidences. Killing a monster 200 level higher than you with your smelly armpit? Marrying a female gorilla because she loves your awful scent? It's as if the anime is a blockchain of bad jokes, and the art style certainly supported that. Since there's nothing serious about this anime anyway, why would you make the art looks serious right?

So how well did this anime do as a meme anime? It did contain a lot of jokes, some were funny (to me, and I laugh to hololive memes) and some were cringe. There was a lot of screaming and meme materials. The plot supported the joke-style of the anime well. If we disregard the lack of frames to make it smooth and the opening&ending which makes literally no sense and looked like a 10$ work (except the songs, those were ok), it was actually a pretty well thought out meme anime that keeps giving us new content to meme to every episode.

I still don't understand why they had to show roses everytime she appears on the screen though.

Also what's the go-kart all about.

Simple summary:

Before going to the story itself, viewers should know this is a typical isekai, where MC become the most powerful being in the world. First, if you do not like anime that has OP mc and harem, better just skip it, because that almost summarised the whole story. But if you just want to see for filling time, comedy(not really funny), and you like OP mc that able to solve anything without logic, this may be your liking.

The story itself is about a high school boy ... that is summon to the other world, but get separated because do not have friends at first, he try to survive by eating food that he founds which include "the evolution fruit" which change his mostly everything about him and cause him to become OP or even almost not human except his appearances. Then he travel with his wife which he found in the forest he was transported, the journey continues in the city where he become adventurer and gain more harem and become more inhuman.

In conclusion, just watch for entertainment not for the plot is better, if you want to enjoy this anime.

Fruit of Evolution being an Isekai where the main character gets an extreme boost than the rest of their isekai friends. sounds interesting but common. although Fruit of Evolution is considered bad by most, it is astoundingly mid, not great like most say, but not bad either. the perfect definition of mid.

artstyle is a wonky mess, some shots are anatomically weird. overall the anime could be as good as the others in the same setting but the mediocre art sets it back. sound is not David studio level and could use some fair adjustments, characters however have great designs, often more confusing and cool ... rather than bland and straight to the point.

Great storyline but animation sucks !! What the hell is this anime trying ! For godsake is this beta release of this anime or what ! The motions of the characters are mediacoreThe story is far mature yet it has childish vibes!! Mc is op and have a decent harem but to ruin it they made this as for 3 to 4 years old children which is definitely a horrible move !! Another great potential op harem story got ruined !! So as for me it's -5.5 stars/10 stars.. just cause I have hope for the second season that it will be better (if the ... next actually comes that is ) & the worst part of all the harem tag is missing !!

this is a typical isekai where you know the mc is op and the thing with that is that he pretty much get annoyed by it because of the pop-ups he gets from his "op-ness"

This show is trash and you know it. I watched it for the booba and you probably did too but is it entertaining as heck? Yes it is. In fact it is more entertaining that girlfriend girlfriend which was a dreadful experience.

but if you like trash and/or you see these types as a guilty pleasure, then go ahead and watch this series or even read the light novels and ... the manga. It is one of the most quality trash generic ass anime out there.

That being said, I hope that the second season of "Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei" takes the time to address the shortcomings of the first season and elevate the series to its full potential. Only time will tell if it will deliver the improvements needed to make it a truly great isekai anime.
