Princess Connect! Re:Dive Season 2

This second season arrived improved from the first . All around the board that is.

The fighting animation especially looked really good. If there's a complaint ... alot of the newly introduced characters aren't really used enough . Other then that i can't find anything to complain about . In particulary on the story side. You'd expect these sorta game adaptations to leave you with alot of the mystery just to entice you into playing the actual game, a sort of bait and switch situation. But not in this one. It wasn't ALL explained sure, but it was more then enough for a satisfying end to ... the anime.

Same as the first season, i recommended this one. It's a very well made game adaptations that isn't just fluff to promote . It was clearly made with care and alot of work went into it. I recommended especially if you liked the first season, since once again, this improves on everything .

A bit more entertaining than the first season, with the story now having an overall meaning with twists and turns that felt appropriate and well executed. Questions answered and relationships are furthered slightly but not by much. Action is much more entertaining and for the uninitiated people who didn't know what to expect of the story were in for a treat. The music and animation continue to be a highlight into this second season and even reference some of the pivotal moments from the game with similar sounding music. That being said, Princess Connect is still suffering from the fact that it didn't have much ... to build on in the first place. What it does achieve, is good, but it's weighed down by the fact that the story and characters are still at best, surface level. Princess Connect could never really be anything higher than a 7 due to its original medium not being much better in terms of its story and characters. The game was made to sell, not tell a compelling story with compelling characters. While this can be entertaining and is in some ways better than the first season, it cannot grasp anything higher than being alright and good.

There is one word to describe this season and that's "forgettable". Things happen during most of the course of this season but I cant seem to remember most of it. Very little is revealed in this season that hasn't been revealed in the first. I find it to be a show that is neither pleasant nor offensive to watch. Not only that I heard nearly no one talking about this show the 3 months it was airing which is a shame.

Majority of the characters introduced its like they picked their features out of a hat and put no thought process into it whatsoever. Then ... again I suppose that's to be expected when your source material is a literal gacha game.

While season 2 of Priconne graces your eyes in the initial episodes with amazing animation its a novelty that quickly wears off. Sure you get "plot development" but that's not until episode 9 and even then it feels like the writers have given up where the animations during the fight scenes look like nothing more than a bunch of flashy scribbles across your screen.
